I could care less about romances and previous characters' arcs being carried over into this expansion, as most of the companions from the previous game had planned to go off to do their own thing in the epilogue anyways...

HOWEVER, Bioware, what kind of bullcrap is it to offer downloadable content that costs us real money, and then declare that it does NOT carry over into the expansion? We paid good money for that, and now you're basically saying it was only for Dragon Age Origins, and will not carry over into the expansion?

This is tantamount to robbery. Please reconsider this horrible gaff.

It's really simple.

I'll play Awakening but I wont buy any DLC for the game.

What's the point if I can't use items I paid for?

All the DLC system risks to be pointless.

Oh... and I want my money back for RtO items. 5 $ for 15 min gameplay and I can't bring with me the armor?! Sorry but there's something wrong here.

Well the worst is that I waited and waited and waited for RTO, thinking it would be the 1 hour they claimed... As I recall on the 3 different characters I've played through RTO, one for each class, it only took about a half hour for each. So, despite my waiting for the DLC to come out finally, and despite it being a complete lie about the play time, I will not get to keep the badass items from it.

I will still purchase Awakening, as independent of the bull****, it appears to be a great game, and I appreciate that you can carry over your character from the first. Though, without item carry-over and romance carry-over, just what the hell are we carrying over? Minor cosmetic plot tweaks that have no impact on the overall direction of the game? Oh, that's totally worth it... /sarcasm.

so much for the promise of dao being about choices and consequenses, that was what the claimed, and yet they take it out of their first expansion, that shows us how much we can believe them in the future

The truth is that most of us want to see a continuation of his/her history. What they are doing now is giving us an extra-adventure with no or poor legacies with DAO main story, and for most of us this looks like pure speculation in order to collect money. (or better this is how it looks like to me...)

Yes, we always payed for playing but at least we would like to pay for what we want play... and this is not the case...

I don't think they are doing Awakening in this way just to generate us more hype for a sequel, making us hope that there we will see what we are not going to see here.... It would be really diabolic...
