i tried to play for the first time and when i presses play it said failed to detect a supported video card i looked in the manual and said u can get 1 from nvidia or ati how do i get download 1 and what will it cost me

First you need to find out what Graphics card your PC already has on to find this out click on run in the start menu and type "dxdiag" with out the quotes then in the new window that opens click on the display tab and the information about the card on you pc is there check that info off on the list of sported chipsets that should be in the manual

Video cards are physical pieces of hardware that plug into an add-in slot inside the computer case.  So far, no Star Trek matter transporters exist, and physical objects cannot be sent across the linkages of the 'net.  You have to shop for what you need, pay for it, uninstall the old onboard video chipdrivers, and then install the card into the PC.

You need a pretty decent graphics card to play this game.

Are you on a labtop or dekstop? And whats your graphics card?



If you have a ONBOARD or something simliar graphics card then it wont work.
