I was thinking at first that I'd be bored with him, that his whole personality would just be the fast-talking, fast-thinking smart Salarian stereotype personified. What I found instead was that he was a very funny and deeply nuanced character, with real inner struggles between his intellect and his morals. I gained a lot of respect for him on his loyalty quest, and he really wore his heart on his sleeve during several dialogues. As someone else mentioned, that quest probably presented the LEAST clear-cut moral decision in the whole game, and the only BIG decision that my Paragon Shepard took the Renegade route on.
