Okay, I'm an adept, and because I'm achievement hunting, I'm on hardcore with Liara and Tali as my teammates (yeah, maybe I should have planned this better).
Anyway, when I beat Faros, the asari clone of Shiala sometimes gave me trouble because my biotics wouldn't always work on here. I've heard that this is worse with Benezia, even to the point of being immune to biotics.
Is this true?
If not, what advice do you have for this battle? Should I try and bum rush her, or work to the side and take out the commandos from where she can't hit me?
Best way for an Adept to beat Benezia?

Um... Tali has Dampening... use it.
I were forced to use that team as an adept vs benezia...
Run away from her when you are finally forced to face her and she gets those final 4 commandos as backup. Get back to the corner and take out the commandos first. You can usually lift/throw them and they often go out of bounds and die instantly. Then when you charge Benezia, Dampen her, then keep her off her feet as best you can. She is susceptible to biotics, she's just very resistand, so duration will be low and they often don't work when barrier is up. So overload her after the dampening to get those shields down. Then shotguns, throw, lift, singularity, rifle butt if you have to.
Benezia isn't really that hard, it's when you get nailed with those immobilizers while her 4 commandos charge in and focus fire on you that you get killed.

Hit Benezia with lift immediately after the cut scene. Max lift should send her through the roof, killing her instantly.

Stasis + Bastion Adept = she can't even do a thing
Why bastion mandatory, because it is the only mean to do damage to something you put in stasis.
With correct Bio amp and some reduction cooldown armor mod (kinetic buffer, medical exoskeleton or in early game stimulant pack), you can re-apply stasis on her before the previous even wears off ( if bastion and stasis are maxed of course)
Enjoy easy mode Benezia (working even on insanity mode, i tested)

Yeh, fully leveled Bastion is unstoppable.
This is my first Bastion playthrough and the insanely strong Barrier (which recharges 40 points a second) bonus along with the Stasis bonus just makes all the Bosses drop like nothing! Bastion FTW!
