And I always tried to avoid writing over existing saves, in case that was connected to the problem.
Some of my characters that were stuck at level one have now updated to three, while the characters that should now be at level five and six, respectivly, are still at three and not moving.
I really can't see any pattern to this problem at all, or to the fixes that work/don't work at certain times; I hope there will be some kind of solution to this soon.

The character Creator was playing up a bit when I created my character and never updated it after I made some changes to the appearance and tried uploading again. It also never uploaded the second Character I created in it.

You should be able to make it an Automatically started service by running services.msc (I believe that should work for XP, Vista and 7). In the list it should show Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater. Start the service if it's not already running, and switch it from Manual to Automatic starting Preference.

no, it's service that updates list of available DLC, it has nothing to do with character updating on this page...tayd wrote...

Then again, the web part of DA:O is only a minor part of the game anyways. It's nice to have there, and hopefully sorted eventually, but the game itself is still bloody fantastic, regardless if the SocialNetwork isn't all that to cheer about at the current state.

But then it stopped completely. I've made several more character since then that haven't been uploaded. I've tried changing equipment, saving, etc., but it's been doing nothing for several days now. Oh well. It's not like it's preventing me from playing the game so I guess it isn't that big of a deal, just thought you all should know.

So can we get a function in the game to force it upload our characters to the social site, like the "upload info" in the character creator?Jesse van Herk wrote...
There is a list of reasons that your characters may not be updating in the FAQ: http://social.bioware.com/help.php
The game is very picky about when it decides to upload data, and there's not a lot that the website can do about that. Try swapping some equipment and saving manually (not using quicksave). Other workarounds are listed elsewhere in the forums and in the FAQ.
We are still looking into reports of character data not showing up on this site, and there may still be bugs in that. Rest assured that the web team is working as hard as we can to make the site Just Work, and posts describing exactly what you've already tried will help us far more than a "me too".
