My character finally updated.  Could be whatever Bioware did of course, but I did notice for whatever reason the social site was not showing my game as registered.  I've been playing for two weeks logged in the whole time and using all my DLC, so I didn't think any registration issues might be the cause.  Still don't know that for sure, but my profile updated a couple hours after fixing that.

Also changed the couple lines in the .ini referring to character uploads, but I had done that long before anything finally worked right.

Hmmm... My new elf character appear, but my old character (Yvain) is still not updated... In game I have lvl 11, but here he has lvl 1, 0XP, 0kills etc... Is mistake here or in my PC??

My characters haven't been updating either. The new character I've been playing is now at level 7 and she still isn't showing at my profile at all. And also the one I have finished is still at level 19 according to my profile.



No big deal but then again it would be nice to be able to use this site like it's planned to be used.

Looks like that switching to automatic may have done the trick. My other two characters on my profile haven't updated yet, and my new character I created a day or two ago hasn't even shown up, but I think if I play them a bit and save them, then they will catch up, too. At least, I hope so.

Mine has been updating pretty regularly now. Again, I don't know if it was Bioware, but I began running the DA application from the given shortcut, not through Steam. I think it's called DAluncher.exe or something.

My profile says it has not updated since 11/16 and my character since 11/12. I did have two achievements just appear that I gained last night in the game. I'm confused. What's the deal? Am I doing something wrong or do we need to wait for BioWare to fix something?  It was working just fine and then just stop updating.

Don't know if this is relevant, but I checked again this morning to see if any characters had updated... still no updates across multiple characters since Nov. 10.



Anyhoo, recalling that the pre-release Character Creator application included the function to manually upload a character to your online profile, I decided to see if sending a new character from the CC would somehow get things running again.



End result: the system would not accept my upload with the error message, "Your online profile storage has reached the maximum number of files allowed by the server."



Is this what is blocking character updates?



And if that is the case, can you please get the "Manage Character" and "Manage Screenshots" functions working so I can clear out the CC characters I'm not actively playing and the multiple screenshots that I don't really need filling up my allocation. (I just noticed that the Screenshot tab on the in-game Player Profile helpfully points out that I have 100 screenshots online out of 100 maximum)

I think you hit the nail on the head right there. I have the same issue and my profile also isn't updating and hasn't since I reached the limit and they deactivated the ability to manage the SS and characters. I'm hoping they get that mess sorted out soon because I think it might just be the fix most of us need so that its not just our achievements updating.

Oh well, back to beginning my third character since the problem started that won't show up on here until this is fixed. Kinda makes me wonder how many times I can play through before they fix it and see how many new toons I can get uploaded at once.

Yes, I have also apparently reached my online profile storage maximum. Too bad I can't remove anything since manage characters or screenshots is not working.

What bothers me is that I don't know if there is anything I can do about this. I read that search should be functioning but it doesn't seem to be so for me. And I really don't have time to manually go through all posts to try to look for a solution.

Generally I'd just like to know if the problems are caused by the forum or something I did or didn't do... *sigh*

Lucky you are. At least you have uploaded some characters. I can't upload even one character. Playing for nearly 2 weeks I have only my achivements updated... no character information at all

This. I just tried this as well, and I got the message that I have reach my maximum file numbers. My characters haven't updated since the 12th, maybe that is when I reached full screen shots. I guess I'll turn off the automatic uploading of screenshot and hope you get screenshot management back online. What I do  know is that patch yesterday did nothing to remedy the situation for me. My achievements are updating just fine though.

I've been playing for about 4 days now and have restarted a couple times. In all this time, I have yet to have any of my character information, be it trophies, progression through the game, or characters played have not uploaded. I play on the PS3. I'd like to be able to share my progression through the game with my friends, but I have nothing to show.

Is the "manage characters" feature broken for others too? When I click the link it sais that this feature is temporarily unavailable.

Bioware has obviously given up on the whole updating characters thing....

I have the same 'manage characters' link is temporarily unavailable problem. It has been temporarily unavailable for more than a week. I have a bunch of characters I want to delete and two new ones to add.



Has there been any message at all from Bioware as to when, or whether, this will be fixed? Does anyone from there care?

new achievments appeared, but ALL my characters still have lvl 1, without kills, XP, equipment etc... their stats never been updated... it's strange...

We have just deployed a fix for characters not updating. There was an issue where some non-english data was messing up the update process.

As for screenshot and character deletion, we are close to resolving that issue and it will most likely be re-enabled on Monday.
