We have just re-enabled the manage character and screenshot functionality. We fixed it so if you delete something it should stay deleted from your online profile.



Files will come back if you play a character you previously delete or if you re-upload a screenshot.

Since I have one character with a broken profile, if I delete that character and save with that character again, will it create a new profile with a fixed portrait? I'm hoping this is a workaround but don't want to try it if it breaks things more.


EDIT: All my old characters popped up again which I had deleted. Your fix didn't work I'm afraid.

Ive had 5 achievement update 2 days ago, I haven't played the game in about 4 due to work. Also my character hasn't updated since the 16th.

my characters never updated the only ones showing are the ones i created in the character creator before the game even shipped, i played only one of those and one still shows lvl 3 which i got pretty fast since then no updates beside achievements

Well, I can now delete some screenshots I didn't want and characters I had deleted ingame - that's the good news. The bad is that my characters are still not updating - 2 are missing entirely, and the others aren't updating at all (not even achievements).

Funny I just got my achievement posted about finishing the Dwarven Noble origin (second playthrough) and my first Human Noble is still level 7. Hasn't been updated since Nov 7th!



Also, my Dwarven Noble is still lvl 1. Hasn't been updated at all.

Well that was special. Earlier today I deleted over 70 screenshots because I thought that was what was preventing my character updates. Well my character's updated... by putting in 3 characters I had long since deleted (I even removed their folders from my computer). But my 25 mage I beat the game with is still reading 16 and my 19 warrior is still MIA. So I've deleted those three old characters again.



Unfortunately, I'm out of town and unable to load up my game but I'll be curious to see if my characters finally update or if those three old characters who have been gone for two weeks reappear.

Interesting. After deleting 26 screenshots (all that I could find) online and playing DA:O for a couple of hours, my character finally got the story, stats, skills/talents, etc, all updated. Avatar pic and portrait remained old (for now). Perhaps that maximized screenshot issue was the problem all along. Now I just have to figure out what's taking up the other 74 online file slots.

Well it looks like your avatar has updated since yesterday.  The juggernaut plate is a change from BDA, anyways.

Yep, that just happened. I was coming back to edit my post. :happy: All that's left is the avatar with my inventory then I'll be fully updated. Woo.

Somehow my profile FINALLY updated after almost 17 days! I didn't do anything different except I haven't been to my Profile for a few days. Seems as soon as I gave up on this Site it started working!

Additionally, from in the game, my screenshots say that I have like 297 uploaded out of 100. I went through and deleted 2/3 of the ones listed in my profile, and the number hasn't changed. Would this at all be related to broken portraits?

you may also want to check your photo album, I had 6 times the same album with the same screenshots of the game

Oh and to all Bioware/EA guys, that is good to see you didn't gave up and are fixing bugs on the website

when im in my game's menu it tells me i have 11 screenshot uploaded but when i check i got 5 where are the others?

4 of my characters have now uploaded (the 1st, 2nd, 4th & 5th created), a 5th character (the 6th created) has partially uploaded (missing avatar, no story, 1 equipped ring not showing, wrong stats/skills/talents) and a 6th character (the 3rd created) is still absent!

I've also noticed that even though I've changed the Dragon Age: Origins Content Updater to Automatic Startup Type (and it does indeed run when I start my system and log into Windows) shortly after exiting the game it closes down. I suspect that the game is actually terminating the Content Updater service which could be one reason why character updates are not always uploading/updating to the site.

I played through Tales of Orzammar from PC Gamer and that character got upload. My official campaign characters haven't uploaded yet though. Jesse checked and my characters aren't in a queue or anything. So it has to be a problem with the game and not the website.

Mine are updating immediately now, however I've noticed i glitch when saving the game. Sometimes the portrait and character file refuses to change when you save the game, so when it uploads you're still wearing the same gear.
