same, still nada. it's completely not updating at all, even though i'm logged in 24/7 while playing.
pc version.
btw if you guys who are playing console versions have a decent pc: you're seriously missing out. it's a 10 on pc, it's an 8 on consoles. (imo.) performance, interface, everything.AdamTaylor wrote...
Wow... you seriously think it costs that much for a gaming quality PC?
I spent about $800 on my PC.
Vista 64 bit
Quad Core, working at over 8 Gb RAM
nVidia GeForce 9600
Big sound card, extra fans, DVD writer drive, bunch of extras
22" monitor, new keyboard and mouse... everything...
I run Dragon Age on max.
Meanwhile, I bought my PS3 for about $750 when it came out.
Yes, I could buy a new console now for about $200-300... but then the next one comes out... and the next... and I have to buy the new ones... for more money than it costs me to toss a new graphics card into my system, or buy a bit more RAM...
PC's are FAR cheaper to keep up with compared to consoles.
My second computer is about 6-7 years old now... didn't cost me much when I got it. Cost me about $100 to upgrade it so it can run Dragon Age smoothly.
Is it just me or does it seem like theres always one of these two kinds of posters in every support thread?
If you refer to the "it's better on a PC" - that's usually true with games made for the PC first, not often true for console games ported over. But it is pretty much accepted with DAO as all the reviews I've seen give the PC version high marks and the console versions lower, though still good, marks.
As for PC costs - you can get a rig that works great for gaming for far cheaper than a console - if you consider monitor price versus tv price, especially - and if you use the "my HDTV I use for more than games" you can use your PC for more than that too, or you could use your HDTV for your monitor and save money there -
screens aside, I could build you a PC that runs better than your console for less than you could buy a new console and make myself a profit in the doing.

It has still NEVER EVER updated what it actually shows for equipment in the picture. As in, it shows my character with a bow and leather armor---level 1 equipment. It has never shown anything but that, despite several updates etc. And that's frankly what I *most* want to update. Don't care about stats and achievements so much, they're just numbers.

I had a chat with Brian Chung, he said that it's a mystery issue, since it works for him from work, but doesn't from his home. He suspects it might be a port-related issue, and he said he'd look into it "today". I'll get an answer as soon as I can.veryalien wrote...
It's unacceptable that they don't even acknowledge there is an issue. I'm going to try my luck opening an EA trouble ticket.

So I went and tabbed in the character profile page from the side menu on this site and now it is showing some of my characters with some updates, claiming just a few minutes ago but at least one of them is majorly wrong because it has 'Ivy' down as being level 7 when I completed the game with her yesterday evening with her finishing at level 21.
Going to load up the game to see if there is any save I have with her at level 7 to see if the site is picking up info from a wrong save.
Although the really odd thing is, my achievements and her story have properly updated? lol

EDIT. Hah! Just as I wrote this suddenly my character stats had been updated. Weird stuff.

I also had played the mini game before launch and got a few of the reward trinkets and unless I'm missing something, weren't they supposed to download to your character? If so, I never received them. I don't know if it is the same issue.
