I think it has something to do with your equipment. I think I've been wearing the same gear for a long time, and yesterday I switched a few things around. Poof. Profile updated.



Could just be a coincedence though. :-/

I have the 360 version. My launch day character has never shown up. I don't get any errors or anything at start up. All of my achievements are there but no character.

It's also starting to bother me. I'm level 10 or 11 and it still shows my level 5 character from more than a week ago. My gear changed, I save manually and not quick-save. My achievements gets updates...

I even got my achievement from last night but my characters, gear, skills, story, nothing is getting updating. This really needs to be fixed. What's the point of the social website otherwise!

Even the screenshots seem to be uploading correctly as I have the story ones from my Wednesday night session.

Like many of you I was having similar problems. Character image missing, Achievements updating but not character so on and so on. I decided to delete my character from this site (not in game) and bam, within 24hrs my character and everything that goes along with him is up to date and correct and is maintain itself rather nicely. It might just be a fluke but harmless and worth a try

In my case I have one garbage character back from the character creator and I keep deleting her on this site, she always comes back later.

'Bout 20 hours in so you can bet I've saved a good buncha times.
It has yet to show that I even have a character, nevermind the picture, achievements, stats, story, etc...
Curiously though, it does acknowledge that I've downloaded the Stone Prisoner and Blood Dragon Armor from Live.

So I guess, like most everyone else here, what I'm saying is, "What the heck, Bioware?"

EDIT:  Achievements have shown up, which is something.  Apparently I have earned them without any characters.  With that in mind I have come to the conclusion I am magic.

I understand frustration at things not working - believe me, I want to preen and boast about my character on here as much as anyone - but if you can play the game, the fact that this site isn't working like it is intended to seriously should be of a small concern.

The ice cream is great -

some of us just want the extra sprinkles and the whip cream promised to be included, I guess.

Put me down too, achievements are updating instantly but my character profile has been the same for about 5 days now. This site is a neat idea, if it will start working properly.

There is a list of reasons that your characters may not be updating in the FAQ:  http://social.bioware.com/help.php

The game is very picky about when it decides to upload data, and there's not a lot that the website can do about that.   Try swapping some equipment and saving manually (not using quicksave).  Other workarounds are listed elsewhere in the forums and in the FAQ.

We are still looking into reports of character data not showing up on this site, and there may still be bugs in that.  Rest assured that the web team is working as hard as we can to make the site Just Work, and posts describing exactly what you've already tried will help us far more than a "me too".

Tofu Sofa, you currently have exactly one character uploaded to the EA servers, and he is showing up on your account (and is your profile photo now).    If you have other characters, they've never been uploaded from your computer.

My character only has the achievements and screenshots getting updated. Nothing else was updated in over a week.

I tried : 

• Waiting...
• Asking friends to visit my profile but enough people from my thread visit to send me PM I think
• I almost always use ESC, Save Game. Especially on my last save for my session
• I swapped equipement around my my character, manually saved, restore the equipement, manually saved again.
• Using the DA;O launcher instead of the way Steam starts the game itself
• Deleting a garbage character from the Character Creator using the Manage Character menu on this site(this one keeps coming back after each delete)

I DIDN'T try to delete my character in my profile here because I'm afraid it won't come back at all.

I'm open to any other suggestions.

I find if you play by clicking story, skills, spells, and back to character and just playing between those it sometimes forces an update.



Though my character is wearing the dragon armor but alus im still in my mage outfit but my profile is correct, it shows that im wearing it in my character thing.

Why isn't my DA Character showing up online?

There are several reasons that your DA character data may not be showing up online yet. These include: Your data was already synced within about the past hour - the system avoids re-syncing people too frequently - be patient!
 - Since on my PS3 version my character has never updated anything it ceratinly hasn't updated in the last hour. 

You do not have an account on this website - the system only syncs data for people with accounts 
 - I have an account and I'm pretty sure it's synced to my PSN account as well.

No one has visited your DA player profile page - the system decides who to sync based on whether their profile has been visited in the past day. 
 - This one is a circular argument, if my character hasn't uploaded there is little point for people to visit my page, so therefore the system decides I'm not worthy to update?

The system has many other people to sync first - syncing is done on a first-come first-serve basis, so a big rush will delay some syncs 
 - This one would make sense if there was only delays in people getting their character(s) updated, maybe a day or two behind.  But there are people, including me, who have never gotten their active character updated at all in over a week

You logged in to Dragon Age with a different account - you must use the same account in-game as you use on this site 
 - Again, I'm reasonably sure that my EA/Bioware Account is synced with my PSN account.  I downloaded the new content without any trouble and don't have problems contacting the servers.  I've also registered my PS3 game, if that matters.

In the Character Creator, you did not hit the "Upload Character" button, or that upload failed
- I had played around with the character creator before launch, I uploaded the characters I created and they are on the site. However, since my active character is on the PS3, this one is not relevant.

In Dragon Age Origins (not Char Creator), you did not save your game - DA game progress is uploaded when the game is saved
 - I manually save at least every 15 minutes in game.  So this one doesn't apply to me.  I've also changed armor/weapons on my characters.  Changed my team.  Various changes, so obviously no dice.

Since there is no way for us to manually put our character in the queue to update, we have to rely on the internal client/server system.  And when a feature isn't working as advertised and the main response is wait, it gets a little frustrating.  If there is truly something we can truly do on our end or report something which would help you guys fix this, I'm sure there are plenty of people willing to help out.

My character for the Xbox 360 shows up on the site, but the picture of him is only there sometimes.



My story details are listed- but go to a broken link when expanded.



My character is listed as level 7, but he is level 13 and hasn't been 7 for several days now.



Woah, as I was writing this I checked back on my character and it has updated. Still the picture is broken and the story elements are broken as well.



Oh well, cool feature but it has some annoying flaws. Love the game- can't believe I've already played 20 hours

I have an different problem. My character itself is updating correctly but my story seem to be broken. It dont updated since two days and round about 17h of playtime. Is ther a solution to fix that problem?

None of the FAQ bits explain how the system can say on my profile that I have Dwarven armor, or Varathorn's armor, or now Dragonskin armor----yet has always SHOWN leather in the picture. That's a discontinuity within the server itself or something, not on MY end. I can't force it to re-render the pic. It's updated my equipment list about 3 times now, but it has never changed the picture.

Same for weapons---I have twin blades and it knows it and lists them in the profile--but it still *shows* a level 1 bow in the picture.    

Finally---it doesn't seem to list specialization talents/skills.   All my basic rogue and dual-wielding ones show up, but none of the assassin or dueling.
