If Morrigan is your only mage I wouldn't bother with shapshifting.
If you have Wynne and Morigan you can take shapeshifting if you're curious... but I still wouldn't bother.
The ability should be way cooler and more powerful than it is.

too damn bad, I just started a new game with mage and was hoping for shapeshifting into a POWERFUL animal...

Im getting use to it.
You need more points in Str and con to get good damage and health.
Willpower isnt so much needed for highly focused shapeshifters, powers in other form use little activation, although swarm u need mana as replacement fro HP - and master shapeshifter gives overwealm which is a killer power.
