I bought ME2 new, entered the Cerberus Network code, and connected on Feb. 1. Downloaded the Cerberus Armor and Shotgun on the 9th, but I just played today and the laptop wouldn't open. The game said I needed to activate Cerberus Network. Is anyone else having issues with Cerberus Network de-activating, or have a solution?
Thanks to everyone in advance.

Additional info: Cerberus Network also worked on the 10th, 11th, 12th, and earlier today...

More info: e-mailed EA support, and they told me that my code was used by some e-mail account that isn't mine...but that's wrong...

Don't bother sticking with EA, they have automated costumer service, if you can call it even.
For me, I even formatted my entire HDD and still had the Network up and running, only had to re-download everything.

Thanks for replying. Do you have a suggestion for who I should talk to? I'm really torn: on the one hand, I refuse to spend money on something that I had, but was lost on what seems like EA/Bioware's part, but ME2 is a great game, and I'd like the eventual DLC.

I'm having the same problem. Had it up and running, downloaded everything up to the new shotgun and armor, Cleared my system cache (Did this kill it maybe?), and now it wants me to enter another code or pay for it.

The server that the cerberus network runs on has been down for a few days now and this is probably the cause of this problem. It shouldn't be a problem for much longer. just keep checking in every once in a while to see if it's back up.

Checked your router perhaps? It might be blocking several ports needed. [ I think. ]

Worked for me around 5am (technically "yesterday" now), but not working for me currently. Says it's timing out. This is on my 360, haven't tried on my PC copy yet.

Cerberus Network is still not working anymore for me. Anybody have a solution? Or at least a phone number to call? EA's support page won't even let me login to send them an e-mail!

I can open the laptop and it shows all the content - but the instant I try to download anything I get a quick peek of he download screen and it flicks off. Has anyone else had this happen?

probably just a hickup. I lost my connection to it yesterday because 'the EA servers were down'. It is a problem on their side, so they'll deal with it.

I had the game installed once and the network woked fine, but then I reinstalled windows and formatted my drive. Now when I install mass effect 2 it says I have to pay for it or enter my redeem code, I tried entering the redeem code but then its in use... of course its in use my e-mail is using it but it wont connect.

I've been having the same problem. I bought the ME2 Collector's edition, entered my code, and everything was fine. Then I was playing DA:O, and there were a couple little problems with it, so EA tech support suggested I clear my cache to solve the problem, which worked. Now, though, when I put in ME2 it asks for my Cerberus Network code, and when I enter it, it's being used by another e-mail, which, of course, is mine. Is this going to be addressed? Because it doesn't feel right to pay another $15 on top of what I was planning to spend on the DLC.

It's happening to me on my 360. I wanted to try out the Incisor sniper rifle, too.

Same problem here, I cannot use what I "owned" when I bought the game. And yes, customer support is bunkered deep if you can find them. My guess is EA does not want to maintain support for ME2, apparently that includes the Cerbrus network and DLC associated with it. Follow the money, they won, we lose.

The issue here is about cloud gaming vs real ownership. I assume game makers prefer cloud storage as it can minimize pirating. I prefer having a disk that I can reload if I have issues with my computer. I went round and round with their customer service and still need to download entire games if I repurpose drives or partitions. This DLC that stops working is a perfect example. One can only rely on what one has purchased, if it's a disk in hand, otherwise you are at their mercy.
EA has such great games I have to wonder why they want to kill it all with such screw you policies.
