Alistair does know that, and he agrees to marry the HN PC anyway.

Well, he doesn't know for sure, though he does know it's unlikely. But I got the feeling that if any of the nobility found out, they'd demand he chose a proper queen (and then suggest their daughters as better alternatives).
Nobody knows for sure, except David Gaider-types who make the rules. SInce the nobles can't even make Anora get married when she's Queen alone, I doubt they're going to try and overthrow the Hero of Ferelden.

The husband of a reigning queen is a prince.

The female noble gets the entire game to build a relationship with Alistair, while the male noble gets 2-3 dialogues with very limited (but good options even if very few) options and depth to build a relationship with Anora.

I think for anyone who married her they will spend those six months realizing how irritating she is and will run away from her to engage in suicidal darkspawn missions.

You're still a king.

haha, maybe. That would be an interesting dialogue progression... this should be decided by the player of course (like all relationships). I could see certain characters getting along great with her, she being a strong willed woman that might melt perfectly with some characters. While some possibilities would be dialogues that lead to you two butting heads etc. That this doesn't exist as a progression at all is what I missed and would like to experience in some way (even if minute).

True... you are "Prince Consort" though she calls you Prince-Consort, King-Consort, and King at various times... obviously at which times it benefits her to have the view of you elevated. It seems fairly clear she is setting you as prince-consort but knows your character has as much real influence (and probably more) than her so she seems to very cleverly balance your ambitions with what she'll allow. Part of why I think that relationship could be very interesting to progress.
