Well, you don't really get a happy ending even if you're queen. Was hoping that my PC might get to marry Alistair before he found out the truth so she could get a few months of happiness in :P

David Gaider's said somewhere that it is impossible for 2 Grey wardens to have children together. Kings need heirs. Therefore... :crying:

Alistair does know that, and he agrees to marry the HN PC anyway.

Well, he doesn't know for sure, though he does know it's unlikely. But I got the feeling that if any of the nobility found out, they'd demand he chose a proper queen (and then suggest their daughters as better alternatives :P ).

Nobody knows for sure, except David Gaider-types who make the rules. SInce the nobles can't even make Anora get married when she's Queen alone, I doubt they're going to try and overthrow the Hero of Ferelden.

There's queens regnant and queens consort, but there's no such thing as a king consort.

The husband of a reigning queen is a prince.

I'm very interested in this especially in regards to the human male noble and Anora. You get very few dialogues and practically no chance to try and establish a relationship with her (romantic or not). I really thought it was an interesting option and the couple dialogues with Anora that were involving marrying her were quite interesting and I really missed the opportunity to talk with her more and either romance her a little maybe (or at least get to know her and show her some romantic intent) or the opposite. What little was there was nice but left a lot very open and would really like to progress those dialogues further, even if just a few steps in the expansion.

The female noble gets the entire game to build a relationship with Alistair, while the male noble gets 2-3 dialogues with very limited (but good options even if very few) options and depth to build a relationship with Anora.

I think for anyone who married her they will spend those six months realizing how irritating she is and will run away from her to engage in suicidal darkspawn missions.

You're still a king.

You aren't king. The husband of a monarch isn't a king.

You quickly annul the marriage and run.

I assume the answer is yes. More importantly, will you still be king/queen if your ending bugged out. Image IPB

You marry Alistair with a decent persuasion and you have to be human noble female.

haha, maybe.  That would be an interesting dialogue progression... this should be decided by the player of course (like all relationships).  I could see certain characters getting along great with her, she being a strong willed woman that might melt perfectly with some characters.  While some possibilities would be dialogues that lead to you two butting heads etc.  That this doesn't exist as a progression at all is what I missed and would like to experience in some way (even if minute).

And if they totally do away with you marrying Alistair/Anora and don't aknowledge it at all, that would take some of the fun out of Origins, wouldn't it? I mean, whats the point if it doesn't turn out when you import to Awakening anyway.

You know, my sister said the same thing Nemesis. But however I will point out that he will not marry a human mage either.

True... you are "Prince Consort"  though she calls you Prince-Consort, King-Consort, and King at various times... obviously at which times it benefits her to have the view of you elevated.  It seems fairly clear she is setting you as prince-consort but knows your character has as much real influence (and probably more) than her so she seems to very cleverly balance your ambitions with what she'll allow.  Part of why I think that relationship could be very interesting to progress.

It's all quite confusing isn't it. Get the endgame slideshow mod from DA nexus, it refers to you as Queen/King consort.
