The witch betrayed me twice my last playthrough. Once of course when she always does after you rescue her sorry rear, and...again at landsmeet, apparently mentioning her father has got to go during your talk, even if you support her as queen (which I always  tell her I'm going to do) doesn't please princess mcprettypants. Even though she says she understands.
-Double crosses her own father when it's convenient for her
- double crosses you (up to two times)
- greedy, wants her daddy cake, and the throne too

Where all Alistair cares about is his country, honor, and what's right...clear choice. Unless you're an elf, or mage, and want him to run away with you...lol

well I never actualy viewd it like that you know coz um  you know I'm a Male Mage and um Alistair is my pal you know? we buddies so I really care about what he thinks you know? he say he doens't want it, he gets what he wants, coz u know me and him we pal man. so you know when he said hey I want the throne right @ the LAndsmeet for the first time, hellzyea I supported him too, he my pal. thats all that matters, i dont care about ppl of ferelden, what did they ever do for me? you know?

alistair gave me Loghain riches and castle and stuff, yo know, im totall cool with that.

I've been there too, Anora has been made queen at least once because of it. But, Alistair actually realizes after you make him king that it isn't so bad, and he can actually do some good, he surprises himself.  My first playthrough I totally did not want to make him king, but I let HIM execute Loghain...and he just up and claimed the throne...lol

Just beat the game again, and once again despite what the ending slide says, Anora says, "Wedding preparations are underway, it'll only be a few weeks!"

Cue ending slide that says, "lolwat 6 months later they got married"

The disconnects annoy the hell out of me, just like being continually referred to as King and ending slide saying "Prince-Consort." or Queen and ending slide saying ,"Princess-Consort."

The Princess-Consort (marriage partner)  title is proper and used informally, you would usually be 'considered' a Queen if married to a reigning King. The Prince-Consort title is the same if marrying a Queen Regnant, although historically some men have taken the title of King-Consort (Mary Queen of Scot's husband).

You guys do realize you are only a consort? You dont have any formal power at all, the only power you get is the power Anora/Alistair grants you. Being a consort is just being married to the ruler, and being recognized as royal status but no power.

But you will probably just go to take care of some Warden business while Anora/Alistair rule the country, like they were before.

The Princess consort thing may be a glitch, or may be simply because Anora has yet to give up the title or be stripped of it. As far as we know she's still in a tower. As long as she hasn't been stripped of or voluntairily given up her title of Queen, officially, it can't be granted to anyone else. Frankly, I'd like to execute the $%^$%^.  My first time through I thought "yeah, she would be a better choice" , and a couple after that I figured it didn't  matter. But my latest one? No way in H-E-double hockeysticks should she ever have power.

Ok... This is NOT GOOD.
NOT GOOD.

Let's hope to god Bioware won't surprise us in the end with Anora Will Be Queen/Taken Back The Throne anyways No Matter What We Did in the Origins, because you know with All the Expansions and Sequals coming out, Bioware must Generalize all our Characters Story Somehow so there isn't WAYYY too many Possibilities in the future... the fact that she still lives!? That's a Scary Possibility.

Even more scary than us not being to import Our Own items imo. :o

I'm pretty confident she gave up all claim to the throne after the Blight, or if she didnt Alistair woudl've been forced to execute her.

I dont think they would do that anyways, if Anora were to fight over the throne it would be mentioned in the epilogue.

Actually, the human noble origin does have their own power, 2nd only to the king.

She's never willing to stand up to Cuthrien  and say "oh yea, they came at my request, I was a hostage", instead she runs off in the confusion after either saying YOU were kidnapping her, or after you keep her a secret and fight or surrender. The LEAST she could do is help you to take another way out of the estate. Also, after you get imprisoned, take note how she clearly has to be reminded that Alistair is important too, She obviously wants you rescued because you can help her, but HE is a threat to her power.

Then when you have your private chat with her. Tell her her father has to die for his crimes. Listen to her say it is hard for her but she "Understands", and then agree to support her for queen. At the landsmeet, she'll turn on you faster than a pit viper, accusing you of kidnapping her, murdering Howe and his men.

I think the "help I'm a prisoner" deal was a scam, to get rid of Howe, and get alistair out of the way. She wanted the political power, but had no military expertise, so of course she needs her father to remain alive, but she doesn't want HIM having power either. Getting you to support her, eliminate howe, and Alistair, and get the landsmeet to agree to her being queen, and she gets it all wrapped up in a neat little package.

True however, as Queen (married partner of a King), you would normally have certain responsibilities and functions you attend to. The King may assign any power or duty he wishes to his Queen in his stead; it is entirely up to the King (in a monarchy) to do as he sees fit.

True. Although in my case, being HNF, Fergus would now be the Teyrn of Highever.

She still lost in mine. I killed Cauthrien on my way out, dueled Loghain myself, after Miss Prissypants came in an accused me of kidnapping, murder, and treason, and kicking puppies. I executed the guy myself, and pronounced Alistair King, and Me rulling beside him, and giggled merrily as that witch was sent to the tower:lol:

Well....there family has power second to the king. The father Bryce is the Teyrn, so he has the power, not you. And at the end of the human origin, Fergus becomes the Teyrn, so you still have no power.

I know that if you talked to Anora after the Final Battle, and say that you can't wait to be King. She corrects you and states that you are going to be the Prince Consort, and she will figure out what your duties are going to be, or something like that. You don't end the game as King, and perhaps your first duty as Prince Consort is building up the Grey Wardens. *shrugs*

You can get Loghain's lands and  become a teryn, but does anyone else think that Awakening's made it canon that the Warden;s epilogue  choice is to stick around and rebuild the Wardens?

Yeah I think with ruling beside Alistair he shares power, because if you choose "I only wish to serve the crown" as your boon he mentions you'll do enough as queen. Anora is power hungry, she isn't going to share well.

I hope not, I chose to stay in Denerim with my soon to be husband, and I'm frankly hoping to start off there then be SENT to Amaranthine, not just "Oh look you magically appeared in a new home!"
