I have found:

1) Ancient Elven Helm (Mad Hermit Bracelian Forest)
2) Ancient Elven armor (Ruins)

Where are the ancient elven boots and gloves?  Thanks.

Can't really remember cause I don't care about that set, but the wiki says the gloves are in the ruined temple where you look for the Sacred Ashes. As for the Boots, they are supposed to be in the locked cabinet in the curch of Lothering. Unfortunately they don't spawn there due to a bug (which only affects the PC-version as far as I know). So without cheats or mods, there's currently no way to complete the Ancient Elven set on the PC.

Yep, BlackVader is right. I'm on PS3 though so I can get the boots.

I like setting Leliana with that armor.  Too bad I can never get the boots.  I think it's a cool looking armor set.  I really like the look of the helm.

I guess the question then is whether anyone knows a cheat on the PC to get the missing boots?

This thread gives advice on that score.  I think the gloves are found during the Urn of Sacred Ashes quest.

Ok I downloaded from this site: http://social.biowar...ject/670/#files

a file called: Ancient_Boots_Fix It downloads an unreadable file with no installer... There are no installation instructions at the site. What is this and how do I get it to work?

In Dragon Age/bin_ship directory is a program called daupdater, you need to run that then load the ancient boots dazip file in that program. Should work then.

no way to get the helm if you kill the mad hermit, best thing to do is instead of playing his game, is select trade and choose the helm first, you can also do the same for the acorn or just pull the acorn out of the tree stump

Aye, I learned that the hard way... now to look for that updater thing-a-majigger.

Ok I installed it and it appears worthless. All I got from it was a note cluttering my inventory saying "give me my boots". I go to the cabinet in Lothering (which of course I looted ages ago) and there is no way to interact with it. No boots, no nothing. I have never seen such poor attention to detail in a mod. Who would make a mod and not 1) Explain how to install it 2) Explain how it works. I am going to hazzard a guess that this mod only works when a PC accesses the cabinet for the very first time. What do I do at this point?

Check Bodahn's inventory.  Supposedly, it puts the boots into his inventory if you've already accessed the cabinet in Lothering.

I say "supposedly" because truthfully, that mod never worked right for me, either.  (Or rather, it only worked once.  On my 2-h warrior playthrough, when I really wasn't interested in the armor.

(Edited.  Why do these forums have such crappy formatting?!)

That never worked for me, either, but maybe it'll work for the TC.

If you have the "give me my boots" note in inventory (on PC after installing the noted mod), click on it to use it.

Set details on Wikia: http://dragonage.wik...Elven_Armor_Set

The set looks good, but I wish it was upgradeable since otherwise it ends up underpowered by the point you can actually acquire all the pieces. (Even if I only played each quest arc long enough to get the pieces of Ancient Elven Set and no other quest arcs, I'd still be level 14 or so and have found enough heavy/massive armor that no warrior or AW would want to be wearing it, and few rogues or non-AW mages should be wearing medium armor).

I agree with most of the comments, but now that I am past my first play through I am trying to do some of the things I was unable to last time. :)

You could always install Qwinn's fixpatch which puts the boots in the cabinet as well as fixing other bugs (including the Stealing bug in patch 1.03):
