Instead of new races, I would like to study the races we already have, especially the Hanar, you barely get to know anything about them. sure the self loathing second running eor of the ship, aka Thane tells you a bit about them but I wanna talk with one. See how they communicate with the lights and ****. Or have sex with a turian woman either one.

The new race sounds interesting, but if we have to see them in suits that entirely hide the way they look it'll be quite frustrating. Like others have mentioned, I'd also like to learn and see more of the races we already have in game, such as the female counter parts to Turians, Krogans, Batarians and Salarians, and I would like more information in general on some of the others. We don't know much about the Drell, or even about the Volus, Hanar and Elcor.

We know more about the drell than about the elcor, and actually almost more than the volus or hanar, either. They're doomed to be the background races for being unsuitable for joining in your crew, but learning more about them would certainly be great. Still, the raloi interest me too. There's a lot of first contact tropes that could be played, with humans for once on the side of advanced, mysterious aliens, and the new species as wide-eyed newcomers.

I don't know having a volus on my team would be fun, just keep him down in the underworkings of the ship, or I don't know an acting beachball for when we hit up sandy planets. Hanar FTW.

Well, at least we know one thing about the Raloi; they officially have the worst sense of timing I have ever seen. They developed space travel right before the impending Reaper attack!

Boy, if we fail, that's really, really going to suck for them.

Turians do that?

Raloi squad mate and LI for Mass Effect 3
I will soon be opening a Raloi love thread.

This actually really interests me because very rarely in science fiction do we get to see a new alien species being introduced/uplifted to the Council/Federation and the universe at large. The Bajorans from DS9 come close but they already had space travel. For once humans are the aliens and the Raloi will gaze up in wonder at our unusual forms

I am Commander Shepard and this is my favorite species in the galaxy

We don't know anything about them.
What if they are a**holes like Batarians?

that is why I say 4 games for ME. there is too much left for just one game. :P ME3 should be gathering allies, and polirizing the galaxy, some pleading for diplomacy with reapers and others getting ready for full scale invasion :P.

then ME4 **** hits the fan and it gets even more interesting :P

What's wrong with making ME3 a 50-70 hour uber epic tale to cover all that?

If you read history most of the interesting stuff happens once groups are polirized. then everything breaks down.

ME2, nobody has any idea about anything, everything is business as usual.

We have no idea what the Raloi will do. The Leviathan of Dis is still at large, nothing is known if Illos databases have been mined for anything useful, due to its proximity to the terminus systems which could start an information war over Illos.

We still have the disk from BLue suns base that tells protehans are the collectors.

We still have nothing on those Slaarians that aren't recognize by the Salarian government.

Nothing has been said about the Carriers of the Systems alliance, which is a familiar way (in our history) to bypass the Citadel conventions military treaties.

Ramifications of the Turians salvaging and studying Soverign. It came up with the Thanix cannon, what others did.

WHat about the Geth......there has to be more to it, just saying, GEth quarians kiss each other and live happily every after is really just being lazy.

WHat about the mega structure that the geth are thought to be building, a mega hub to house all geth, kind a like a reaper itself...although not for the kill all life, purpose, but for increase sharing capacity.

Remember what happended with HALO, so much information rushed and packed into 2 games.

Is like reading a book. You read the entire 3 first chapters, then somebody tells you the next 3 chapters are about fighting, and the end is everyone goes home happy........alot more stuff coudl have been done.

The turians are avian too, they're not flying around.  I hope they do fly.

The only species we know of that flys are the Collectors.

they are what we call the link between birds and dinasours, that doesn't mean they fly :P

Most likely would be something along the lines of turian evolution but a bit further along.

It would be kool if the Raloi were to  be another species with the Dextro amino DNA like Turians and Quarians... would make things a bit more balance in my eyes.

Do they fly? Can you fit guns to them and get a close-support-bird?

I am amazed nobody is asking for a Raloi LI yet. Good job people.

Look at what happened when the Alliance made first contact with the Turians. If they made contact with a more diplomatic species like hte Asari than there would have been improved relations. Also, if they just launched their first space telescope, they probably are as tecnologically advanced as 20/21st century humanity.

No they dont. he just doesn't like Turians.

Turians are very anal about rules, and for me it is perfectly understandable what they did to the humans, AT FIRST. By blowing up vessels about to open a new relay. THAT I do not condemn. After all, they paid, indirectly the price for unauthorized Relay travel, they had to quel the Krogan rebellions which is nothing more than the interest for the mistake the Salarians made.

Now the following occupation, and planetary bombardment yeah, that went too far.

But a telescope, is nothing interesting, most likely the turians would have thought it to be a planetary defense system. Theyw oudl have shoot it, realize there is NO other planetary defenses and realize is a species with no space travel.
