What is the point with this Bioware? If you want money for the addon, you should fix the original game first, imo. Not going to buy Awakening until I get what i paid for (Warden's Keep Items back, 100% working DLCs)

I've never had any CTD or DLC issues.
Then go buy the game, if everybody who HAD problems would boycott it, it would have a real impact on the sales, just look the tech forums dear god!

About the Boycott... hell now, why would you worsen other people's experience with Awakening for your own problems, I'm sure more people have problems like you, but than just don't buy Awakening. My only current problem with Bioware is that mods are guarenteed to work and DLC items won't carry over, but I'm sure we will get some nice equipment right away:)

speaking of bugs and glitches, anyone finished the last mercenary side quest? i can't find the guy i'm supposed to kill in denerium.
There was at least one merc side quest which involved a personage in the elven alienage, which isn't available until near the end of the game, for instance.
Edit: Right I remember now. The thief guy.
He's in one of the alleys through a door.

Finally, the strange guilt I have whenever I equip an 'overpowered' DLC piece of equipment pays off in that I don't have to worry about this at all. I couldn't bring myself to wear pretty much any of the DLC stuff, because it felt like cheating to have equipment that was more powerful than what was in the vanilla game, at least until I beat the game a few times.
At taht point it still feels like cheating, but I no longer care because I'm just dicking around with future play throughs. All my 'canon' characters have already avoided it.

excuse for a little bit of spolier
*Spoiler Alert*
the presumably last quest you get from the merc group, i forgot the name, you get the quests from the big chest and there is usually a guy standing next to it. it's from the son of the leader of the merc group, it asks me to kill the father so the son could take over, i can't find the father, who's supposed to be in Denerium
*Spoiler Ends*

..they fix all the DLC, CTD Issues with the original game. I played through it now my second time, and half way all my items from Warden Keep DLC got lost and there is no way to recover them. Even the console can't add those items again. Before that, I had to replace my game exe with a cracked one, because I got so many CTDs out of nowhere. After cracking the exe I had no random CTD, but still get CTDs when I Alt + Tab out of the game.

I'm on my 12th playthrough, I don't know why you are having all these problems. Yes, "sometimes" I get a ctd. But that just tells me its time to restart and flush all that excess stuff from memory. (3 gigs ram)
The problem I have found, I play on a PC, is that when the game autosaves..if you go into the load game screen it looks like this:
Autosave (1)...thats fine.
Autosave (2, 3, 4) seems to bottleneck or choke information from downloading to this site, for character updates, it also slows your game down and makes it lag.
So any time now that I see it autosave above say "autosave (2)" I delete those. It seems to free things up, unblocks unchokes...the information, and my character information updates within a couple hours of having levelled. I also try not to keep any but "favorite" save files..delete all the rest below the current ones I am working on...seems to help.
Also check the forums that pertain to the machine you are using, for helpful workarounds to problems you are having.
One other thing to note..for some odd reason I always have a CTD in Denerim, just after exiting the Gnawed Noble Tavern. I found that if I go to run around the market too fast, if I turn too fast..I will always get a ctd. So now I am careful not to do that upon exiting the tavern.
The back alley encounters get really laggy if you keep all your save files right from the start, best to get rid of those that you don't need any more.

Though at least it isn't a Bethesda game... then we'd really be screwed.
But if everyone who waits for bug fixes or who's DLCs are fubar did not buy Awakening that would seriously reduce sales.

Exactly!
Many people have issues with their codes not working, and quests that can't be completed, or items that have gone missing and somehow we're supposed to go out and shell $40 for an expansion, which is double what most expansions cost.

Then I agree..don't do it.
They have issued three thus far. Well for PC anyways. I haven't kept up to date on whats happening with the console problems..since RTO finally released.
Anyone use the feedback feature ingame? Might help your cause.

Really hope Bioware notice the massive protests and fix this though. You just cant take away gear from a character in a RPG. And the DLC gear are the ones with most history and emotional value.
