  So I was following that crazy dwarf lady on my search for paragon Branka and ran into the broodmother.   That was an awesome fight!  I had to change my strategy though as well as completly disabling my spirit healers tactics to keep up in that fight.  It was the funnest encounter I have had yet but I've only saved Redcliff so far so I'm sure I will see more awesome encounters.

  If you've done that fight how did it go for you?

Pretty easy. Stood on the rocks, ranged the tentacles, had my melee person take out the darkspawn that came into range, once tentacles all dead focused on killing her, had my spirit healer keep everyone topped up.

The rocks at the back wall are close enough to range everything in the room and the tentacles can't reach any of you.

Finished it with my warrior pc and oghren left standing with zero potions. Pretty intense fight.

It was tough yes, even for me on easy. Though, I think it was because I had my strategy wrong the first couple of times.



First time I tried killing the tentacles but decided to not bother since they respawn, tried not killing the tentacles, then went back to killing tentacles.



The most annoying thing was when she grabs one of your party members. Pretty much an instant kill since I had Morrigan instead of Wynne in my party for it. And her one heal couldn't keep up with Broodmother's damage.

Possibly one of the scariest things in the game is leading up to the brood mother....



For me,Twas just a simple tank'n'spank,Main character is impossible to kill with Wynne healing...

It has been the best part of the game so far.



I had my rogue buffed up like hell shooting arrows from max range, with the occasional spell from Morrigan; the rest killing of darkspawn adds. Ignored tentacles. Had melee rush in when she was low to finish her off. Beat her 3rd try normal. Would have been on 2nd if it wouldn't have been for extremely bad luck.

had my mage,shale, the dwarf and ellian the rogue, ellian died after 1st wave of darkspawn, dwarf died on 2nd, shale was just standing there destroying it and i just casted firestorm and tempest, then some single target spells to kill the darkspawn.

I had a great battle with the Broodmother. I was killing the tentacles at first, but then before I even had her down a quarter of the way all of my companions ended up dead. I thought it was going to be all over, but I dove into killing her, ignoring the tentacles and downing health pots like a madman. I couldn't believe I actually managed to solo that thing, cost me about 12 health poultices but it was an epic battle, and the first one in the game that really had me on the edge of my seat.

Broodmother fight was my favorite so far, just because i got the really nasty looking kill shot at the end. It wasnt hard at all tho, i let all my teammates die and just focus on dps with my tank. Took a few pots here and there but Broodmother wasnt as hard as i thaught.
