Have you changed your mind on buying Awakening or are you still definitely going to purchase it? Why or why not?

I think my interest in the expansion has dropped at least a little...err, maybe more. My reason is that the more I hear about the expansion, the less interest of mine it holds.

Getting it nonetheless. Most of these complaints are trivial to me (never bought DLCs and romances are just one part of the game), only beef I have with Awakening is how it's treating dead PCs, but I can overlook that... or maybe wait for a mod of some kind.

Looking forward to it.

I'm most likely not going to buy it. There are too many games coming out this spring, I'll probably pick it up when it goes down in price unless my mind gets radically changed somehow by next month :/

The major factor was apparently the revelation that you can't import the choices of a Dead Warden, if that changes then its definately a maybe, but its still 40 dollars and I could do something else with that money that could be more fulfilling.

Well after I saw in a FAQ that Oghren will play large role in Awakening I almost lost interest in an expansion. I really don't like ( Oghren's fans DON"T read this ) this pathetic drunkar with disgusting jokes about pennises, that spending with him another 15 hours will be really painfull

I want it simply because it's more Dragon Age. As long as it offers more Dragon Age, I'm going to buy it with a wide smile on my face. I couldn't care less about these extremely minor hindrances :)

Yes, I am quite looking forward to it. Unlike many that changed minds because of some FAQs. You should rather be grateful for BioWare that told you the truth, rather than not telling anything to anyone and then once you buy it "SURPRISE!"

You can carry over the choices of a dead warden. Also, that's probably what I'll end up doing. I'll probably just wait until its price goes down.

Still buying. I'm annoyed by the DLC decision, but not enough to keep me from enjoying the game.

However, I won't be buying any more DLC from Bioware.

I agree with this.
Dragon Age is pretty much my favourite game ever, Ive got loads of characters to import, so not choosing the the one that did the Ultimate Sacrifice is no issue with me.
On my first playthrough, I accepted Morrigans offer, so that'll always be canon to me.

I'm curious as to your exact thoughts that made you post this thread. Seriously. Not a joke. I want to know what goes on in the minds of people who post crap like this.

Customer surveys are an effective tool in gauging potential sales.

I was about to pre-order it, but I wont now after reading the FAQ's. I'll rather wait to gather enough facts from new trailers, reviews and comments to judge about Awakening.

I am pleased with the new info, I only expected 1 new specialization for each class, but we are getting 2. That's great. I don't see why people are complaining about DLC loot not carrying over, you will get better loot within 2 or 3 hours anyway.

There's not much else to play in March anyway, only other game I will probably get is SMT on DS.

I don't have a choice...pre-ordered some time ago, and  I know for a fact I can't cancel it...tried cancelling a pre-order before from this particular company and they stated they don't do that.

Ah well I don't think I'll have that much of a problem with having Ohgren around..he can be kind of lovable in a drunken, bearish, loutish way.  :P   (hehehe)

True enough, I prefer truth over having something swept under the rug til I find it out later by myself. lol

Unless they are planning on bringing back a few of the DA:O companions, judging by the number of character slots on the website I think the game might end of being like ME2, where the whole game ends up being too busy recruiting companion type of game rather than a story & mission focused game. I'll definetly wait for more news before I buy. I seriously am regretting buying ME2. I might buy Bioshock 2 & see if that lasts till Fallout New Vegas comes out. And ofcourse SUPCOM 2 in between and maybe Starcraft 2 & Diablo 3 wil be out by then as well.

Definately will get it. The things in FAQ didn't bother me at all, since I mostly used non-DLC armour and weapons anyway. Romances were nice addition, which gave more depth to the story of your Warden, but not necessary. Oghren is one of my favourite companions, and I always regretted that I went to get him at near the end and thus not having him too much in my party.

My only beef with this expansion is that the decicions made by Warden who sacrificed himself won't carry over if you start as orlesian warden. Althought, I'm still not sure of this, since some people say they will carry on and some say they won't. As long as they do, I'm satisfied with the whole thing.

I'm still buying it, though I'll be disappointed by the lack of Starfang and other DLC items (though it has simplified my 'filling inventory with items for expansion' rather exponentially). I think the import the dead Warden option is slightly stupid, but as I only got that ending for the achievement and its not really my 'canon ending', I'm not personally bothered. The romances thing is expected, and I consider myself rather lucky as my main romanced Alistair who will be in the game.

I'm interested as to how Oghren plays out. I did like him in the original, but I'll be interested if they take his character in new directions. 'Plays a large part' suggests he'll be more than comic relief.

Never expected Wynne to show, though. I guess she hasn't left for Tevinter with Shale =P

I was not planning on buying Awakening right away to begin with. A lack of romances does not bother me as long as BioWare's writers provide a convincing excuse as to why my old love interest stays behind. Being able to import a dead Warden also does not bother me. I will simply not do so.

The only thing that does annoy me is inability to import DLC items, but even this barely matters if Awakening is the monty haul epic Throne of Bhaal was.

Indeed, most of this news has made me *more* interested in buying Awakening. However, other factors such as still not having completed Origins, a $40 price tag, and a waning interest in the franchise mean I'm unlikely to bother for the next few months, minimum.

Waiting for (credible) reviews, but probably won't bother before the price drops significantly. Only voting with the wallet will impress anyone at BioWare and EA, if at all.
