Under the profile tab, I saw that there was the option to register both Mass Effect 2, and Dragon Age: Origins...so I figured I should register my games to my account.  Mass Effect 2 registered just fine, but I received an error message when I tried to register Dragon Age.  Is this a known issue?  Any possible fix to this?  Is there any sort of negative effect for not registering my game?  Thanks for the help.

What was the error message?

It simply states "Code is not valid for game." I'm typing in the number below the barcode, as the instructions state. I don't believe it to be user error, because I was able to get Mass Effect 2 to register, and the process looks to be identical.

1: These Servers are overworked & laggy, so try submitting the code many times.

2: The Code Font is less than stellar. For example, it can be hard to make out if a '2' could actually be a 'Z'. Try different 'look-alike' digits & see if that works.

Hope I helped.

Well, whatever the issue was, it's now resolved. I was able to register the game with no issues just now. Thanks for all the help!

I am having the same problem. I bought Dragon Age Origins: Deluxe Edition off Steam. I was given two serial keys, once of which I was able to redeem my DLC with, but I cannot register my game to the BioWare Social Network. I, too, get the "Code is not valid for game" error message.

Seeing as this problem has been reported so many times, and how some users who have previously described this problem now have the game registered to their profile, could someone please enlighten me with how they managed to do so?

Thanks in advance.

I've been trying to register DA:O for two days now and I get the same problem - Code no valid for game

Obviously I've been through the ringer before because I have ME2 installed and registered (Hey Bioware, how about including a freaking manual with Steam purchases you buttholes).

Same issue here. My Steam version of DA:O comes up with an invalid code message. Not typoed as I used to copy to clipboard feature in the Steam CD key window.

I guess you're trying to register "DragonAge:Origins" instead of "DragonAge:Origins Ultimate Edition" or vice versa. These versions are not equal, make sure you're trying to register the correct one.
Hope it will help. It did work in my case

Same problem now with me. I've got DA:O(Digital Deluxe) from Origin store. Same situation with invalid code.
