I know I saw a few good Vanguard videos in another topic a few days ago, it where two very good videos showing how to kick ass with a Vanguard on Insanity difficulty. One video was recorded during Grunt's recruitment mission, the other one was agaist the Collectors at Horizon.

I'm looking for these videos (or any other GOOD Vanguard videos that show you how to play a Vanguard), but I can't find them!

Can anyone post a link to these videos if you know which videos I mean? Or any other good Vanguard on Insanity videos will do. I need some inspiration!

This is the "Suck it all non-beleivers" thread for Vanguards. Plenty of good stuff in here. Still can't find the Colossus Charge/demolish video tho ><

Thanks!

I think playing Vanguard is jolly good fun, but right now I'm doing my first insanity playthrough with my vanguard and I kinda suck. My playing style I used at veteran difficulty simply doesn't work on insanity, so I need to come up with some new battle tactics.

There is only one tactic that really work - Be aggressive.
Pick the right foe (near cover etc.) to charge and immedietaly after the charge go as close as you can to the foe (to get the 2x damage bonus) then shoot-melee and repeat as needed. Charge again as soon as possible to replenish your Barrier.

There is no hidden trick or anything like that. When you play this wrecking ball tactic, you do not really need any squadmates, but it is good to bring Tali/Legion with their drones, it makes it a lot easier for you.

Be aggressive but be smart about it. I think Samara really describes it best:

"You are an artist on the battlefield" (or something like that).

Yes VG is the berserker class of ME (definitely moreso in ME2 than in ME1) but once you get the right build, get the right squadmates, and learn when to charge and when to hang back and take enemies out at a distance - you'll do all right.

Heavy Charge refreshes your shields 100% and that is the secret. Your shields come back every time you charge.

You don't need to hang back very often; you can pretty much charge all the time. Just don't charge a vanguard next to an engineer drone with five guns trained on you. You can own other vanguards face to face, charge and recharge krogans and other melee, and take out two enemies in 1 charge but you can't take them down if you get stunned with ten dudes shooting at you.
