Have any of you seen the mass size of the "Save Tali Thread" - this is unbelivable over 17k of posts.

I think that the community is doing well to persuade BioWare for Tali return in ME:3

Does anyone also think that some people are going over the top? Dont get me wrong im a Tali fan - but some of these guys are beyhond fans - its almost creepy, but then again you may think im contradicting myself especially with my avatar and signature but I find that the Qurians and the Turians are the most interesting races and most in depth races for instance the Qurians are tied in with the Geth and there homeworld got taken over but also the Krogan and the genophage that is also an in depth area of the game.

What are your guys opinions of the Qurians, the Tali fans and do you think that people are going over the the top just a little bit?

I love Quarians and Tali. Probably to me one of the most interesting races in the Mass Effect universe and I really like Tali's personality. Regardless I won't start saying anyone is going over the top until they marry their desktop, 360 or laptop... Like that Japanese guy did with his DS over a character...

THEN you have gone over the top. And need help, mental help.

I find it disturbing too. There are people who like Tali (like you and me), and then there are... *those guys*.
As for the quarians themselves, I can't exactly feel sorry for them losing their homeworld. They created sapient beings and then tried to destroy them. You don't simply kill someone because they're asking questions you don't like.
[e]Also, the Turians have an awesome government system, I'd take theirs over ours any day.

I agree - but the line between liking Tali and liking Tali too much are blurred considering the mere mass of fans that she has accumulated in this game alone.

Hopefully in ME:3 there will be more story and depth to some of the races like the Qurians and the Turians and of course some expension onto the smaller races for example the Volus or Hanar.

She's just a video game character. A concept. Nothing more, nothing less. Some people fail to understand that... I say let them. As long as they are not hurting anyone with it, who cares?

I'm with Dethateer. It's just majorly creepy sometimes, and I wonder if they do that just for laughs... but personally I love the Quarians because of their whole spawning of the Geth and all that happened because of it.

As long as the main char remains being Sheppard and not Tali, fine by me. Oh, and I think most of the chars need the same depth storywise (not just one).

The post count isnt that surprising considering some of the posters in that thread have racked up hundreds of posts each.

But yeah, its starting to get weird and annoying. Liara was barely in the frickin game. The mere thought that Bioware would bring Tali back again as a squadmate over her is insulting.

They brought her back, she had a romance, thats enough I think. Now they should square with the fact that the whole "suicide mission" works both ways. It kept our ME1 LIs out of the game, and it should be sure to keep some of the ME2 LIs out of ME3 in a massive role.

Nah, Garrus and Tali are fan favorites, they'll be in ME3 for sure. But I just read a page from that thread for the first time... Jesus tap-dancing Christ...

I am a genuine person and Tali was my 4th favorite character in the original ME. I liked her a lot in ME2 mostly because of whole Quarian culture and Geth dillema. But the Talimob freaks me out. The way some Tali fanboys behave, insulting other ME characters (Liara and Kaidan in particular) and making Tali as some kind of a goddess is over the top. I would love to see her back in ME3, but not as a major, because I've got this feeling that because of all that extreme hips adoration the roles of other characters were reduced to a great extend (ME1 LI's, Anderson/Udina, may be even Samara's romance!). Which is very sad, because ME Universe is not all about Tali and Garrus. :-(

Eh, Ashley and Kadian aren't exactly awesome, deep, care-for characters. The choice between them boiled down to: save a marine, because we'll need them all, or save a biotic, because there's few of them?

Then again, neither was Tali in ME1.

The hardcore fans.... they are a bit over the top to be honest, and creepy most of the times. I hope that they're not too serious, and well if they are...well, not my life, not my or anyone else's problem/decision.

Your life -> Your choices.

I like the quarian race and ME2 made me like tali more than I used to (didn't really like her in ME1) but MANY of the tali fans go waaaay over the top.

Tali and Garrus will be in ME3 for sure (Tali and Garrus don't have anywhere to go to, plus they're fan favorites), very likely Dr. Chakwas too. So... can people drop this, please?

Tali's cute.Don't get me wrong I don't mean cute as in "come meet my parents!" more like "yea i'll play the game with her in my party for the cool dialogue" .

guess some people go over the top due to being hyped up about the game and trying to save Tali a spot in ME3 which will be an epic win... =)

@ Dethateer

Ashley or Kaidan aren't exactly awesome? How is that? Just because you are Tali/Garrus centrist doesn't mean other characters are lame. They are just different. And tastes differ you know. I love all of them. And I want same share of screen time for all of them.

I didn't say they suck and OMFG GARRUS AND TALI RULE. The only really awesome characters in ME1 were Anderson, Joker and Wrex. Personally, I found Ash to be annoying, and Kadian a crybaby. Boo-hoo, he had a tough childhood. Did find it extremely stupid that no one considered General Williams' reasons for his surrender during his trial, though.
[e]In fact, Garrus was annoying too, he was perpetually depressed for some reason, and Tali kept rambling on about life on the Flotilla.

I'm not too fond of Tali really. Except when she launches a combat drone. Given a choice, I prefer her quote over the hamster for BG references :D

No different than boi's going on about Seven of Nine, Buffy, Jadzia Dax or Aeon Flux.

I dont mind Tali but that thread is pretty creepy. I just hope it doesnt lead to increased and in my opinion entirely unwarranted screen time for Tali in ME3. Its already got to the point where she seems to be the only Quarian who even matters in the galaxy.

The only thing I don't understand, is this;

How can people like Tali etc so much when there are characters like Wrex, Grunt, Zaeed, etc.

I don't know, perhaps it's cause I grew up on Shwarzenegger, Stallone, Van Dame, Segal, Willis, etc style action heros, but I like characters that kick ass and chew bubble gum.

I like Tali, don't get me wrong, I just don't get the level of followers the character has compared to the likes of Grunt.

I mean, grunt is like the equivalent of Conan the Barbarian... on my team, in space.

I dunno, I just don't get it lol.

I lucked out. I had no idea of the fanbase behind Tali and Garrus, and they just so happened to be my favorites from the first game, and I took them EVERYWHERE with me. Suffice to say, I was ecstatic that you could have them in your party again (and romance both to boot!).

Tali and Garrus were my favorites from ME1, but I liked the other characters too...

Except Liara. God I couldn't stand the awkward way she talked, and taking the little frightened mouse on combat missions seemed cheesy, so I just ignored her. Sure hope she's not in ME3....
