I'm running 64-bit Windows 7. After first installing Dragon Age, everything worked perfectly. After installing the patch, the shortcuts in the start menu and Windows' "Games" folder both do nothing; double-clicking on them has no effect at all. Going into the config tool and re-creating the shortcuts fixed the one in the start menu, but the one in the Games folder still does nothing and I have no idea how to edit it. Does anybody know what might be going on with this?
Shortcuts don't work after installing the patch?

My shortcuts no longer do anything, either (also running Windows 7 64-bit). Of course, the game STILL won't launch, and crashes at the Configuration Utility step (before and after patch was installed). Great fun so far...

I'm having the same difficulties, on Windows XP. My game doesn't register that I'm online, either.

yea I just dragged a shortcut into the games folder that will at least start the game....the game seems to run ok after applying 1.01a but like others have said my W7 x64 games explorer link that was installed with the game doesn't launch the DAO anymore after the patch

If you follow my instructions in the above post I linked you can fix the games explorer with minimal trouble. Just a matter of replacing a file in the game directory from one on the DVD. There was also info on the "quick way" . We need some stickies in here to get the common info posted at the top.

thx alot for the info that fix worked like a charm...hopefully the next patch won't be as "exciting " as the first one
