I like how many people's response is to go back and kill him. Such a pleasant galaxy we live in.
Just goes to show that nobody messes with our Tali.

I'm pretty much a Tali/Kal'reegar shipper on any playthrough where my Shepard does not romance Shepard. I think it's pretty obvious they both have, at the least, an admiration for each other than could easily turn to love, and is already at least an attraction on Kal'reegar's part.
That said, I think Kal'reegar's too proper and disciplined to go for another man's lady. I don't think he'll offer any direct opposition.
Though given the immense physiological differences between humans and quarians, I can't deny I've thought Tali might be better off with Kal anyway. I think she and Shepard CAN make it work, but it isn't going to be easy.
You're misremembering. If you fight him, you lose the romance.Lord Atlia wrote...

The name Haer'Dalis must mean nothing to you. Bioware has taught us to nip problems before they can reach fruition.

I think he just respects her, he would be good for her if Shepard didn't romance her though

Except that phermones aren't the sole factor in determining whether someone is romantically interested in another, we're not insects.
Frankly, the only people who can't see this are likely: (1) guys who've never had a real life relationship (I'm guessing this covers most of the Tali-besotted here), or (2) furry-style oddballs. Not that every Tali fan falls into the above categories, but the rest are just viewing this as pure fantasy with extreme suspension of disbelief. And bully for them! But that doesn't make these plots hold up any better under plausibility inspection.

Kal never struck me as having feelings for Tali. She did show a great deal of concern for him though. I could see her and Kal getting together if Shep doesn't romance her.

All I've been talking about is romantic attraction. There's a reason why people obsessed with porn or their realdolls or dolphin sex or whatnot are freaks, and why even after long internet "acquaintance" a first actual meeting is crucial: the biological bond is the sine qua non of a healthy romantic relationship. The rest is fantasy.Mikazukinoyaiba2 wrote...
No it's not. I could be sexually attracted to a picture of a model, and I'm sure there are no pheremones involved in that.flem1 wrote...
It's not a sufficient condition, but *is* a necessary one. What determines sexual attraction w/ people is more complex than you suggest and this still doesn't cover romantic attraction.
I preferred ME when it was semi-plausible SF, not fantasy.
