I can't get the assignment from Lorik Qui'in in Noveria. I've completed Noveria, yet it still says I need to speak with him to get a pass to leave.
What I initially did was go to the Hanar merchant Opold. I got his item but went to Administrator Anoleis and gave it to him (I'm going 100% paragon). I got the pass that way. I still visited Lorik before I left, but when I go to talk to him, Shepard raises his hand and says he has to go. I'm not even offered a dialog choice. I even went back after finishing Noveria and can get nothing to trigger after talking to all plot characters.
In searching the forums I found something called the Lorik glitch. It sounds like something you have to do on purpose to get full paragon and renegade - I didn't do that. I'm at 100% paragon and 0% renegade. Could I have done something on accident?
Any hints or tricks on how to activate this so I can do this mission?
PS - I haven't finsihed the game yet, I'm just on Virmire so please don't give me any end of game spoilers. Thanks.

If you tattled on the Opold and already finished Noveria, I don't think you can finish the other quests that would lead to getting the Noveria pass.
Most people don't backstab the Opold to get the pass (not that paragon by the way) because it's kind of a shortcut and you miss the good stuff. There are much more fun ways to resolve the pass issue.

Yeah, seems like there's nothing I can do to trigger it. I didn't plan for it to happen that way it just did.
I don't consider informing on a smuggler as 'backstabbing', and I ended up with a lot of + paragon points, so I feel it was the paragon thing to do. Of course in my next play-thru I will see how the renegade option plays out.

There are three ways to aquiring pass to garage.
Hanar merchant (and of course Anoleis), Gianna Parasini attempt to busting Anoleis for corruption, and of course Lorik Qui'in.
Doing Hanar quest will automaticly deactivate two other options because of final goal which is pass to garage.
However i would suggest to do Lorik/Gianna combo quest(much more paragon points to aquire) and at the end you will get pass anyway.
