not that i am some kind of conservative moralist finger pointer... but the sex scenes simply look soooo incredibly bad.... its exactly these scenes (also with the movie avatar) where you can clearly see how artificial and goofy cgi still are which for me always completly destroys immersion... don't know how you thinkg about this

then dont romance someone? The sex scences are OPTIONAL. Thats a way to fix it.

but i like the romance option, i just think the sex scenes are bad... otherway simply improve the cgi there, or reduce it to "actions" that dont look so bad and artificial

When I sexed up Miranda, I couldn't help but laugh through most of it. It was just comical and cheesy. I understand what you're saying when you say they're bad. They just don't come across so great in the game's animation. I think they shouldn't try to be so...graphic. Leave a little mystery and they won't be so funny.

If someone doesnt like tehm you are free to skip them. I like them so I don't skip them.

I thought the sex scene in ME1 was very well done. Most gamers (or parents) might be more concerned with its brief flashes of virtual flesh, but I was more impressed with the level of intimacy the scene portrayed. It felt like there was a real connection between the characters.

In ME2, the scenes felt like a cheat, as if they wanted to show them but avoid as much controversy as possible. In that regard, they lacked the maturity of ME1 and come off worse. I think the romances were improved (the dialogue between the characters), but the actually act of consummation came off a bit silly.

By the time Mass Effect 3 comes out, technology will allow them to make a more realistic looking scene. Compare ME1's graphics to ME2's for example. ME2 had better animations than ME1. So ME3 will have better animations than 2. I say keep them!

ME1 scene was very well done, DA scenes were awkward because of the underwear and the bad body animation.

So, more like ME1 please. ;)

Ummm, that's a really silly complaint. You don't have to watch them, and they aren't really all that bad. Are they an exact replica of what real sex looks like? No, but it's something. People who make a big deal about this really need to grow up.

Thinking back, it seems every supposedly "emotional" scene in the game is supremely awkward.

kind of funny, just watched the the scenes with the girls and with the guys - the scenes with the girls (which are probably more meant for male players) are much more directly down to the point while the scenes with the guy - probably also specified for the female players - are more romantic and emotional

that's not barely romance. just some horny people trying to touch each other. I don't see how romantic that is.

Indeed. Everyone I have spoken to said they felt gypped, unrewarded, and the only word they were left with after working towards that scene was "Lame". Which I would think is the last word a developer should want anyone to think of during any part of their game.

No one expected full frontal or anything, but they expected to be rewarded with a little more than just a shot of a ceiling.

funny thing is, the scenes even without any butts or skin, are still such that if mom or dad walked in o 10 year-old johnny playing them that they would still take the disc away from him. Only difference is that for adult owners of the game, the scene is comically tame. So essentially Bioware accomplished nothing in neutering the scene.

In ME3 (with the newer technology in a few years) i am sure they can pack quite a bit of characters in that game, some that you can romance without any sex-scenes whatsoever, some you can have sex with but without any romance at all, and some you can have both with. :)
