I accidentally assigned too many points to Throw on one of my party members (Kaiden). I just wanted to unlock Lift, but accidentally increased Throw to "Advanced". Was too late to go back by the time I noticed. It's not possible to fix this through a console, but I managed to re-assign the points using a standard memory editor. The numbers are standard byte numbers corrersponding to the number of increases in a particular skill. So if you increased Throw 8 times, search for 8. Now switch back to the game, increase Throw by 1, search for 9. Decrease by 1, search for 8 again. When you narrow the hex number to 1 or 2, try to change the value (decrease to 7 in my case) and see if it's the proper address. If not, try another one.
After fixing Throw, I also fixed Lift the same way - found the proper address and assigned the Lift talent an extra point I got from decreasing Throw. After increasing Lift by 1, freeze the value in memory and save the game. Close the memory editor, restore the game and your new skill will by increased by 1, while the old one will be decreased by 1.
This **** happens, because when you assign points to a skill and do it too fast, a black box will popup every time you hit a new talent stage, taking away the focus from the talent sheet, while the value simply increases in the background, which makes it easy to overlook. Stupid!
