I would pick Gianna though.

The way we wanted to solve conflicting romance since ME1!

Oh, gosh. Anoleis killed Parasini in my ME1 playthrough, and I shot Shiala in the head myself. Since I'm not into zombies, I'll have to say neither.

Asari creep the hell out of me. I have nothing against the idea of an alien romance - I've argued this before, but because of the sapeince, it really makes a lot of sense to think of aliens as other nations with a variety of caveats versus other species in the way we would look at pets.

But the asari are just creepy as hell. They're a race that could effectively cause genocide entirely through peace & love. They're obsessed with breeding with aliens (and selling aliens on this, which is why Liara creeped the hell out of me, as her first conversation was about why it's not bestiality to sleep with her), when they reproduce it just makes more asari, and if you listen to that stripper table talk on Illium, it's actually possible that they're mind controlling all species to find them attractive.

Well regarding the mind control, there would be some serious holes in that logic if it became confirmed canon.

As to the genocide through peace and love...yeah, that's pretty plausible.  Most devious way for a race to assume galactic control that I've seen in a SF universe yet.

Shiala in either form(purple/green) of ME1.(she looked "off" in ME2)

She was sick in ME2...

Not what I meant, I'm saying that she looked WAY better in either form from ME1 than she did in ME2.

Maybe it's just my 33" HD tv or something.

How so? We know from Morinth that through some genetic fluke asari can have significant mind control. Their "biotics" (read as: the force, given how it sometimes operates) seem to involve mind-melding and other forms of mental alteration.

If other species, in a three-way conversation about the asari, each comment that the asari looks most like their own species and that's why they're attractive (and humans, salarians & turians look nothing like each other) then there has to be something there that makes you think.

Romancing Liara or sleeping with the Consort involves that weird 'embrace eternity' eye mind-sex thing, so I'd honestly wager that the asari aren't all they appear to be.

I think they're by-far the most insidious species in the galaxy in ME, and the most dangerous.

I love the chemistry between Shepard and Gianna, so I'd definitely go for her if I had the opportunity.

As for Shiala, sure, why not? Shepard will never be up there with the sci-fi greats like Kirk until he scores with a green alien woman. :P

Neither of them. I don't think there is enough dialogue to establish the romances with your squad mates, so I find the idea of romances with such minor characters to be a bit ridiculous.

Why do so many people like Shiala? She's an incredibly minor character.

Well, for one she is quite attractive.  For two, due to her actions in ME1 and ME2 (assuming you let her live), at the very least you know that she is kind and willing to give of herself for others.

You're right, neither her nor Parasini's character are very well developed at this point, but so what?  Isn't that rather like what is going on when you ask someone out on a date in real life?  You don't need to know everything about someone beforehand, you just need to know enough to pique your interest.

Maybe going green is just the beginning. Over time Shiala might display more Thorian-ish qualities... might go all Michael Rooker in Slither on you.

*shrug*

Dated worse. Plus potentially being able to make clones of herself... winner! ;)

Gianna, definately.

Shiala would gain some points if she turned back to that purple hue she had in ME1. But... amo le italiane!

If it wasn't for Tali, I'd consider either, but I think I like Gianna a bit more. She has a very interesting mix of renegade paragon going on with the whole corporate undercover cop thing, and she's nice and assertive, and I get hints of a wicked sense of humor there.

She was tainted. I could not trust her after she had been under the control of Sovereign and the Thorian. I had to destroy her to ensure the safety of the rest of the galaxy.

Also: easy renegade points.

No, you're right. It looked to me like they altered her face model or something, because she wasn't as attractive in ME2 compared to ME1.
