I like Tali, Maranda and Jack don't appeal to me. Then again I'm a bit of a freak in that I like Neeshka the tiefling from NWN2 and she techically wasn't a romance option. It's the horns and tail I tell you. Give me the tiefling not the creepy elf durid stalker.

Everyone once in awhile Tali kinda seems to slip into doing the robot while talking. It's pretty jarring since I'm used to the generally smooth animation ME2 has. Honestly, in the end I felt like the creeper by sexing Tali up. Despite the fact that Tali is obviously looking forward to it, when it actually got down to the sex scene I felt like I was blackmailing her and her weak immune system into it. As for the spideryness of her jumping, I don't remember being creeped out by that so much as feeling intense disappointment that I didn't get to see her nude. That isn't so much me being a pervert (though that for sure played a part), but more of a disappointment in the scaling back of the sex scenes from one game to the next. My first thought was pretty much "noooooo, Fox won!"

I thought Jack's romance scene was the second best. It was sweet and emotional. The only romance I didn't really like was Jacob's, that just seemed like they both wanted in each others pants. No romance involved. So with my FemShep I won't be romancing him. He was one of my favorite to talk to on my MaleShep though.

I dunno about you guys, but I found talis romance to be the only believable one in the bunch. I mean come on, she was obviously interested in you since part one but never said anything & then you got owned by the collectors(lol). Your thought to be dead & she finds out, after 2 years that you're alive. And then it slowly adds up. Unlike Miranda & Jack, where they both feel forced. Especially Miranda.

Yeah, i'm in the minority. I also like Kaiden. But I will admit Jacob is the worst character on the squad.

Kaidan was my least favorite ME1 squaddie, but I actually liked all the ME1 squaddies. Jacob is just dull... except when he's trying to be macho. Then he's ridiculous. No wonder Miranda dumped him.

I even had this insane theory for a time that she might have mind-wiped a geth --Legion-- and given him the personality and armour of her obsession. There was a time there -- namely before picking up the IFF/completing Tali's loyalty mission-- where the pieces could have played out that way

Uhm I see a major flaw in your reasoning about not having to talk with someone and getting to know them before becoming intimate with them. In any major relationship you have to get to know the other person before you become intimate. Now if it's just about the act then no I guess it's just about the act, but the whole relationship with Tali, Mirianda and even the paragon relationship with Jack are about getting to know the other person before becoming involved just like most romantic relationships in real life.

I always found Tali to be creepy because she had a bucket head. Had difficulty talking to her in the first game because it caused her to fall into the uncanny valley. It's not as bad in the second game, but I still can't imagine romancing her.

The three finger alien thing is something I don't understand. Quarians and Geth have three fingers. You could argue that the Geth were built in their Creator's image - still a stretch but I can see it. But Turians, Salarians and Krogans also have three fingers. Have not focused on Asari.



So, why is the three finger thing a standard for most species?

Well, you have to understand. She was a quarian in a traditional quest to search for something valuable. And she was going to die or be kidnapped by Saren's people.

Not only Shepard save her from them, but He/she let her stay with him, travell around the galaxy on the most advanced warship ever made (until SR2), and saving the galaxy from total extinction. And, of course, if you are male, she ends falling in love with you... just fascination at first, "love" later.

With that in mind, I would also remember Shepard in  my log every time I could xDDDDD

People throw around the term 'uncanny valley' too easily. I'd say Tali is one of the characters in your party the term applies to least.
