1. TV or the future equivalent. I want to be able to watch the news, funny advertisements, and TV show bits from the comfort of my cabin. I think that would be a great way to get a look into the pop culture of the future and pr0n.



2. Extrenet Terminal. It could work for ordering upgrades, equipment, checking emails, tracking achievements, and pr0n.



3. A view of space for just aesthetic sake.



4. I really think that your love intrest should hang out in your cabin. I want to be able to shag at my leisure.



5. Actual trophies from missions like Zaeed had in his room.



6. A jacuzzi for aesthetic sake and maybe a little extra bit for LI interaction. Pr0n.



7. A mini bar to get drunk at.



8. Maybe an arcade type game console with a combat simulator. That would probably require a lot of programming unfortunately. Pr0n games too. Asara X Hanar



9. Keep the fishtank and model ships. The radio I couldn't care less about.



10. Possibly a manicin to display the armor that you have equiped. That could be what you activate to customize armor instead of that hologram sticking out like a sore thum from your wall.

Oh and an Xbox so Shepard could play Mass Effect.

after you complete missions (main or side) have a "captains log" where shepard does the whole star trek thing and talks to a recording about the mission.

I would add The Shepard VI somewhere near the entrance or near the bed. A new picture of your new love interest, instead of a layed down photoframe and Urz, the loveable Varren, that follows you on Tuchanka if you give it something to eat (doggy-basket included).

As far as improvements how about a actual closet where you can mix and match your informal shipboard attire. A shower in the bathroom, towel rack etc. A reason to go there other than to just change your armor and feed your fish. Pictures on the wall.

There is already a shower in your bathroom, but would be cool to use it.  I really like what Bioware did with the Captain's Cabin.  It helped me become immersed in the role as Shepard.  I really like some of the ideas floating around, hopefully Bioware will implement them in ME3.

when i bought the star charts i didn't read the description of what they did and i thought they were like wallpaper for your cabin....i thought that woulda been cool...i guess more exploration is cool too...lol

Some of these might have already been mentioned but still.
1. TV that has news that mentions things you do/advertisements/comic relief
2. Ability to store alcohol and drink it, wine glasses are on the table anyways
3. More casual clothing or ability to buy more. Also changing the color of casual clothing.
4. More interactivity with the room (i.e Using a tv/computer, drinking, sleeping)
5. Ability to change facial hair and make up with the bathroom mirror
6. More LI interactions
7. Ability to reply to emails by just picking Paragon or Renegade response.
8. Ability to add more pictures of loved ones. Like friends from ME1and family if you're a Spacer background.
9. Ability to customize living area more? Not full on Sims, just like one item from the different planets or something.
10. Having Extranet on the personal computer would be nice. Have a news, entertainment, and money website.
11. Ability to play more music, pick up radio stations, and set songs to repeat.

This.  The table near Shep's bed has a blank frame on it.  I was half-expecting that to get filled by the end of teh game.

If one of your crewmembers want to speak to you I would like if they would stop by your cabin during travel time to ask you and you talk there sitting on the couch or something. It always seemed rather bizarre that they wanted to talk to me and expected me, their commander, to come seek them out.
