-Definitely a TV, to watch news or just various parodical tv shows. Even Max Payne did this, I don't see why not.

-Ability to customise your apartment with new furniture.

-Have your LI (from ME 1 or 2) move in (sort of).

-More music selection.

Also, the Shepard VI, some of the other things we've bought/collected, and I wouldn't be opposed to the LI moving up there full time. At least that way there'd be something to interact with when you go there.

 i know this thread is old but one thing that be nice to see in his room is a painting of the first Normandy or some random stuff he has found while exploring in the first one as a reminder of the first mission and to get players to want to get Mass Effect 1 a little more. i know people that just got the 2nd one and still dont think they need the first one

The ability to email crew members (and ideally non crew members) rather than just receive. Tied into that, the ability to discuss matters with crew members in your cabin, allowing them to have actual crew quarters to sleep in (the ship allegedly has space for a marine unit, and there is no such unit aboard in ME1 or 2, so why are people being stuck in hall closets?

A news feed would be interesting. Maybe a picture of your Me1/Me2 crews.
Heck maybe a fishtank like from Liara's apartment. (hers kicked the crap out of ours)
And I think more interaction could take place there. Like having some squaddies come to you when they want to talk, maybe give the LIs a few more scenes, etc.
