Hi, I was wondering if someone could teach me how an eye mod was made as in the ones made by Pineapple's Vibrant colors.

I have already made photo-realistic eye renditions that would drastically change Dragon Age.

These are not glassy-eyed, but are more true to realism.

Unfortunately, I have no way to give them to the community as I do not know how to make an eye mod appear in Dragon Age. Can someone teach me how to do this? A step-by-step process would be fantastic. :wizard:

Sorry, my last statement was slightly incorrect. What I meant to say is that I have the .dds files in Photoshop with full renders of realistic eyes completed. But I don't know how to make an eye mod for Dragon Age. Does it even use .dds files?

Pineappletree's mod is just tints. PC eyes have a single greyscale texture which is tinted the appropriate colour.

. Is it possible to have .dds files replace original designs or is it just limited to tints?

The standard eye texture is broken into two parts, the white of the eye which is pn_eye_nrma_0d, and the iris, which is the tint mask pn_eye_nrma_0t:

To make custom eyes you'd probably just want to make a new tint mask for the iris.

Here are some other humanoid eyes, including Sten and Morrigan's, which are just simple diffuse textures, and the standard Qunari texture which works the same as above:
