ok gang. I've been playing for a bit now but I am torn. Right now i have a lv 12 sword and board human and its cool and all but i feel i might be missing out on the AW. Problem is that i feel that if i am a AW and say go 2 handed, i can only have generic attacking... (no special attacks). I herd that the best AW usually just keeps buffs on them but i feel this might be boring.
I had a rogue but was really disappointed in the armor and weapons you are limited to. ya'll know what i mean. so i switched to the warrior.
any inside info? Wont this get boring after a while?
what do i choose?

i got bored with AW a few levels after getting combat magic. though it's easy to see what makes it such a powerful spec, auto-attacking bores me to tears. i finished the playthrough flinging spells in chainmail and wishing i'd gone with blood mage.

An AW isn't really a melee character, you are basically just a mage with heavy armour. Sure you CAN swing a sword, but it is terribly ineffective compared to casting your spells since you have no special abilities.

Eeeeh...I wouldn't say it's not effective. You can survive damn near anything and blender stuff while you're at it. But it is kinda boring if all you do is autoattack. I actually played an AW first and dropped it because I got Shield Bash envy. I enjoyed Sword n Board more, personally.

IF your on PC look at the cleric class mod.It gives the shield skill tree and magic.I found it fairly potent.(tad on the overpowered side I guess)
