From the moment I saw her in ME1, I knew that this Asari was not just another forgettable NPC. Even from the brief encounter you have with her on Feros, she seems like a genuinely interesting character, and following her experience with the Thorian, has a relatively unique story as well.

Then (assuming you let her live, but then why wouldn't you?) you encounter her again in ME2. Another point to her uniqueness: she's green now! And once again, she seems like an interesting character...possessing in a few simple lines more depth than certain squad mates who shall remain nameless. *coughJacobcough*

So in ME3, let's see her as a recruitable member of the squad, and dare I say it, even LI. Have something bad jump out of the galactic hat of evil, ravage Feros, and Shiala joins Shepard to save the galaxy again again.

Bioware: make it happen.

I doubt she will be a squad member in ME 3. The canon decision in ME 1 is that you killed her as far as I know, so I doubt they will use the resources to make a spot for her on the squad in ME 3. If they are going to add a new Asari squadmate in ME 3 then I would rather it be Aria. It would still be cool to have her though. I would like if you could romance someone outside your squad like Shiala or Gianna Parasini since both hinted at a romantic intrest in Shepard.

I think they turned her green for a reason. That way if you killed her in ME1, They could say she is a clone that escaped after you killed the plant thing, and everyone can still have her in Mass Effect 3 and only need one texture.

I agree with OP.  She's got hte Cipher, she's all redemption based, is into Shepard, speaks all maturely, and, is a green Asari.  I think that just combined ME and Star Trek's sexual women in one.

(I'm more interested in the Cipher bit, since it had almost nothing to do with ME2, and it really should have.)

Shiala could be dead in some playtroughs.

So the only way would be a thorian clone of her.But we have grunt,so why not...

Only if she is an LI.  Now that would have been a temptaion they could have added to ME2 that would have had my Shepard contemplating cheating.

I just keep getting this nasty thought she's going to go all Baby-Cthulhu on Shep... going green's just the first part of the transformation. Next it'll be tentacles...

Call me paranoid ;)

Ain't gonna happen. Shiala coming back was pure fanservice, especially as Bioware came up with a reason to make her green again, which some people inexplicably preferred to the purple version.

Really? It was the exact opposite for me. I was geniunely surprised when she turned up in Mass Effect 2 (and was green again, which seemed odd), and even more surprised to learn that people like her. Why do people care so much about this minor character?

Many people thought she was the sexiest Asari in ME1.

Not only the sexiest asari...
The best looking women in Mass Effect 1 and now 2.

As long as it wouldnt affect Liara being a squadmate, and she also drops that ridiculous "ZHUS! hope" thing she had in ME2, I think its a great idea.

NOOOO!  She needs to be cured and returned to normal first.

Actually the green Shiala in ME1 wasn't bad, but she looked rather sickly in ME2, on purpose I suppose.  Even so, still prefer the blue/purple Shiala.

I feel sorry for her. It's not easy being green.
