I don't think she should be a squadmate, but they should bring her back as a minor character in ME3.

They should also make her a minor romance, sort of like the Asari Consort in ME1. The same should also happen with Gianna Parasini.

I think Mass Effect 3 should highlight the choices that we made in the earlier series (ME1 & ME2). I don’t want to read some in-game email talking about the Rachni, I expect a full mission relating to them. There has been too much promise relating to the Rachni to allow them to float off into obscurity. That decision whether to melt or free the queen should have real consequence to the overall story.

Likewise with Shiala, a characters whose background seems uniquely helpful against the Reaper threat. Why not allow her to become a squad member, because you could kill her. That should be the power of the choices that you have made; thus making it your story: where you have determine what events you can partake in and who you can enlist to help you.

i make a point to never recruit someone I have killed a dozen times. It usually ends badly, with someone missing a brain.

Although, I might make an exception if it meant I could get rid of Kelly.

Then again, Legion could do it, from orbit, with a Widow.

See my Sig!

While not the first series to implement carryovers between games, there is no doubt that the Mass Effect franchise is the one has that done so with the most charm, care and attention.

Bioware, why not reward such followers by giving us substanially more options that have an impact, story-wise?

If Shiala is to get a minor role of any sort that's equivalent to that of the Consort I'd rather Bioware not bother.  Shiala is one of the more interesting characters that exists in Mass Effect as we know it.  I mean, despite how much time she got she was pivotal to the success of thwarting Saren and Sovereigns plans.  Everything else just made her richer and deeper as a character.  So far, the Consort doesn't have that kind of influence on what we experienced.

There's another Shiala thread that could use some love if you want to mention her.  :)

She is the only other Asari besides Liara who has "embraced eternity" with commander Shepherd. Add that to the reasons she should be part of the crew.

I want Shiala or Aria as part of my crew (I bet Aria is an uber powerful biotic, plus shes badass). Plus Liara.

Aria is the perfect hot asari companion for a renegade shep.

**** I can't get enough asari with two letter As in their name. Need some Asari threesome action going on in ME3, get the mainstream media's attention again. :P
