The first time DA:O was played on my Xbox, invalid EA account information was plugged in. Since there is NO WAY to change your DA:O account information in the game (which is some of the worst planning/design I've ever seen), there is no solution to this problem on the user end.
So, I logged on to EA.com to see if I could manually associate my persona (my Xbox gamer tag) with my proper EA account. Unfortunately, I can't do that since the gamer tag is linked to some account that doesn't exist, so I get an error message telling me that the gamer tag is unavailable.
So, I try to engage in live support chat with an EA representative through their website. I sit in a wait queue for 45 minutes, and then when I'm #1 in the queue, I get an error message that says the chat session was closed and no reps are available. Thanks for that.
So I have finally resorted to emailing EA support requesting that they fix this issue. Their answer is still pending.
Boy I wish someone would fix this. Is it really so hard to let users adjust their account info from the DA:O options menu?
