Well, then where would Bioware get such a creative story to use? Seriously, can you think up of any other viable ways Shepard can die other than being killed trying to save his pilot and then being suffocated in a vacuum and then burning up in the atmosphere?

Actually Joker did get you killed. The collector ship missed, but flying straight just isn't good enough for the best pilot in the galaxy. He had to dip, dive and power slide directly into the beam. Idiot:)

Joker's a pilot. He should have been ordered to gtfo the moment the ship moved to intercept.

I'm trying to post here thoughtfully while ignoring the OP's complete genocide of the English language and general common sense...



Let's see, the FTL cooldown was probably correct, as well as you need to coordinate FTL jumps so you don't run into something along the way. EDI can do this really fast, but she's a computer, so obviously.



The beam WAS moving, I just replayed the intro video. Flying straight would not have saved them. Not to mention the Normandy was already at a disadvantage with it's specs being outmatched by the Collector ship. Plot wise, they've been hunting Geth for a long time, no one was really expecting a huge vessel capable of seeing through their stealth systems to just pop out of nowhere.



Besides, Joker said in the first game that piloting the Normandy was harder than other ships based on the weird weight distribution. So he messed up once, it was a surprise attack. Considering he kept them mobile enough to get most of the crew into the escape pods...I think you're just whining because you don't like the character.
