I may and probably am just blind, but i cannot find the option to delete characters ANYWHERE in the game. Iv checked every menu i can think of and have even resorted to trying every button on the "switch characters" screen. I cannot find it. Someone please tell me its something simple i missed. It wont let me start a new game until i delete some of the junk characters.

You cannot delete the characters / save games from inside the game itself on the x360.
Instead go to your system settings and look at storage. You will find all the save games. You need to delete them from here. Just be careful if you want to keep some : )
