I've scoured the forum and can't seem to find anyone talking about this quest. I have received the quest from the Royal Palace after resolving the succession dispute, and the quest log says that the healer gave me a note with the antidote recipe on it. However, I cannot find this note anywhere in my inventory or codex. What gives? Am I missing something painfully obvious?

Ah, so that's where they hid it. That's... less than intuitive.

The recipe for the antidote you have to make showing up in your recipe list is less than intuitive?

They don't show up in Recipes... it shows up in HERBALISM.

Yes and herbalism brings up your recipe list.

It's not fair to say that checking your herbalism is intuitive. When you're given a note you expect, well, a note... or a codex entry or something of the like.

Yeah, I didn't expect I was supposed to make the recipe myself, I figured I was supposed to gather ingredients and bring them to him. I only noticed it a long time later when I went to make potions.

That's what I thought as well. Figured it was a collection quest. Took me a minute of searching for the note or codex entries before I thought... "oh hey... maybe herbalism"
/facepalm.

Heh yeah this quest is not intuitive at all.
I only found the stupid recipe by pure accident when I wanted to go make some other potions.

Note that you have to have a Master Herbalist and also once you make the potion you have to talk to the person who was poisoned not the guy who gave you the recipe

Its not intuitive at all...
When a quest giver says they want you to make something for them, they'll say that. The Eldar in Lothering asks if you can make her some Poultices.
When a quest giver wants you to collect things for them they'll give you the recipe of what THEY are planning to make or some other sort of list.
I mean, why on earth would this herbalist, who is treating a patient who has just been POISONED, ask someone else to put together a concoction out of sight where it can easily be poisoned AGAIN?

It's a little annoying the recipe requires master herbalism. I hope that noble can hang on for another six levels.

Except that for some it is. He wants you to make a potion for him, and theres a screen especially for potion making with various recipies.

Also to finish the quest you don't talk to the doctor. You have to click/use the sick noble. Took me forever to figure that out.

Seems like an incomplete quest. Wasn't even an exclamation mark over anybody's head and it wasn't clear that you have to click the woman on the bed to end the quest, either, not to mention being given a herbalism recipe without much indicator. Spoke to the guy a few times after making the potion, thinking it was bugged somehow, then I click on the woman and go "Ah...so that's what I was meant to do...okay, whatever".
