Well what can I say !!!! Looks like bioware has a problem with PS3 owners and Dragon Age RTO, I have contact them and ask why this is delayed and guess what no reply what a surprise !!

Well White Knights Chronciles and FF13 come out soon, I expect Bioware will release RTO and awakening for PS3 at the same time I agree with general feeling on here and unsure if I support Dragon age as I to feel we been treated differently and unfairly compared to others platform such as PC and XBOX

.

Thanks

well its not just RTO...
- Draon age was released later.
- Awakaning won't be in retail in any PAL region...

PS3 is just being very poorly supported imo. And i still havn't seen a real good reason why! but i guess we will.. wait it out, its still a good game dont forget that

About Awakening only in DLC it seems is not BioWare's fault, the fault is that a SCEE rule prohibits to release both DLC and retail version at the same time, this could explain why for example outside europe they will release retail version.

Blame sony for lengthy red tape cert process, overpriced PS3, funky hardware design

Blame Microsoft for charging for P2P gameplay, no DTS,

Blame Nintendo (for making the Wii and forcing the industry to focus on non games)

Blame EA suits for the $10 program

Blame bioware for wanting to attract Halo teabagger tards to RPGs

Thanks Hoexpane, but that point does not bear out under inspection Sony has said that the cert is available to Bioware/EA there just wait for the OK from them. this not a case of blame it just a request for information on DLC and add ons for PS3..

Er, unless I'm dreaming... the original release of Origins on PS3 was SUPPOSED to be delayed, then they realized that it would be done on time and it was released on the same day. I was playing my copy on release day.

Doesn't change anything about the lack of communication for RTO, but Origins wasn't actually delayed in the end. Not in the States anyway.

Well, that should be clarified, then. Origins was not delayed for the States. It was originally scheduled later, but Sony gave it the green light early and it was released at the same time.

I'm more annoyed that Europe and the UK has to purchase Awakening as a DLC online and cannot buy the box, like for xbox and PC. This is hugely unfair, as it means people with no knowledge of making their PS3 go online, nor the mean and simply have to go without.

DA:O was supposed to be released on PS3 after the other versions, but ended up being released on the same day and date.

Lucky for me i paid 20 on sale. Bioware is the king of RPGs...not so with customer support.

As for the PM advice...you might as well call Bioware yourself i did (fun long wait with DAO music) and get help.

As for no DLC in Awakening so what? Its a different storyline anyway

EDIT: Anyone think the evil company (EA yeah i said it) may be delaying things? Just a theory.

Why one of EA or BioWare should delay a DLC that it'll cost them much less than distributing discs and can be sold without limits ? Every day they delay RtO they delay their earnings , but the problem is that the much time passes, the much less people will want to buy it....

Especially if it is going to be released come after awakening.

I really think that , at least for economic reasons, the delay penalize also EA and BioWare.

Maybe Bill Gates aka Microsoft payed EA/Bioware a big som of money to delay the release to the PS3 in favor to the X-BOX

we're not sure about nothing atm...
i'm just playing other stuff to forget this unbelievable disrespect to ps3 owners.
if bioware "can't  say" nothing about, at least sony should explain why we're waiting so much for a 30 mins of playin'...I'm disappointed like u all...

Sony hasn't yet received RTO for certification.. It's a Bioware lie that the delay is Sony's fault

I seriously think it failed certification. And releasing Awakenings up against god of war 3 I'm sure pissed Sony off. So there's probly a behind scenes pissing match going on between biowait and Sony.

Hopefully will hear something next week.

I just can't understand why companies are so anti keeping the fans informed?

What do they expect us to do, burn the place down??

I doubt it. If so, it is really stupid on Sony's part now that they actually have a development team like Bioware finally supporting a Sony hardware. Just on personal experience, the sole reason I bought a XBox was for KOTOR and Jade Empire. I think that have a company like Bioware on board i more important than the fact that they are releasing an expansion the same week GOW3 comes out. Also, a Bioware dev (I think it was Casey) recently came out and said something special was coming to the PS3 because DA:O was recieved better on the PS3 than the 360 (probably just ME trilogy coming than an original IP, which is fine, I don't care for conole exclusives unless they are produced by that company). I doubt Sony is going to burn that bridge.

that's the excuse bioware gave for the delay, however, i know that the certification process isn't that much longer than MS's - it's maybe a day or two difference in length.

so at this point, either the damed thing failed submission or they're being idiots about not releasing the content.  i have a feeling it will be out exactly one month after they put it out on the other two platforms - which is total BS and i'm tired of douchey devs favouring Xbox/PC over the PS3.  the content, regardless of whether it was ready on the other platforms earlier, should have been released on all three at the exact same time.  it is absolutely abhorrent behaviour on their part to delay the content for this long.

At the risk of seemingly defending BioWare's actions (though this is more explanation than waiver) I think that for marketing purposes they needed to get RtO out as soon as posible. With Awakenings closing on it's heels (even when it was released for the other platforms) it risked being overshadowed entirely by the much larger and content rich expansion. Also the wheels of the hype machine for Awakenings needed to get rolling, some of those wheels directly detract from DLC, others again simply overshadow.

The greatest detraction being the inability to transfer DLC items to Awakenings. Though I wouldn't be the least bit suprised if they found a way to change course on this. It is really in their own best interests to have DLC in Awakenings or continue to hurt DLC sales upon it's release as many more are left with the attitude of "why bother."

In short, if they had waited to release RtO on all three platforms simulateneously its total sales would likely have been reduced. That they have failed to acheive a timely release for PS3 will harm them, I am certian, well beyond the most obvious ways. My hope, for their sake, is that the reason we hear nothing from them is that they are devoting every moment of their time ensuring Awakenings does not suffer the same fate RtO did for any of the platforms. PS3 got the worst of it, but all of the platforms suffered from one issue or another that RtO exposed.

i refuse to buy anything else for dragon age until I see proper support for the PS3, not much to ask.
