I would like to see a vid of someone completing Tali's loyalty mission on insanity as an Adept. Picking up the first demolition charge spawns a Geth Prime, getting that thing down before it walks relentlessly right into your face with it's geth pulse gatling death cannon is proving impossible. You have roughly 2 seconds of expsure to it, and you die. Not to mention the other geth shooting at you.  This is an NG+ game as lvl 30.

omg.

*edit*  Just found one on Gatsbys site.  Unfortunately the vid does not show this particular encounter :(

Great info guys :)

I need to get back to my Adept to try all these things out. I only played first level on hardcore where I proceeded to die to dog mechs repeatedly lol, so I figured that I need some pointers before I proceed.

I picked Warp Ammo for my Adept. I like Warp Ammo because it is passive. Adept already has many skills to manage, and shared cooldown can make things tricky. Plus, I like to use both weapons and powers extensively, so damage boost to guns is welcome. I am going to try Reave and Shield Drain later though.

I did not realize that Barrier/Geth shield/Fortification do not recharge all the way back. I guess that they would be overpowered if this happened.

We need to have an official adept tips, builds, strategies thread. There is a lot of great info on this forum already, but it takes some work to dig it all out.

Geth Prime is easy during Tali's Mission, especially at lvl 30.

I'm at lvl 19 (basically beelined to get Samara's loyalty mission) and I used Zaeed with Disruptor Ammo and Miranda with Overload/Warp. Troopers die quick due to Overload + Disruptor Ammo, and I merely just use Zaeed as a meat shield by putting him in front. He died once (forgot he wasn't Grunt lol), but by then I was able to shoot the Prime down to health and disruptor stun + singularity ftw.

And that's one reason why I don't like Warp Ammo much. It's a generalist ammo when I'd rather take Incendiary against Organics and Disruptor against Synthetics due to them havinc CC elements, and squad versions of those give you damage bonus almost equal to Heavy Warp ammo. Sure neither affects barriers, but considering barriers go down quick since you have Warp (and/or Reave) already,

That said, I value Grunt highly because of his insane HP regen plus Incendiary Ammo. Almost always a mainstay in my team as the one taking point, helps defend against melee rushes significantly with his Krogan charge, can rip through shields with his shotgun, and has good mid-range capabilities with the Collector Rifle. Only problem is that there are people whos better at fighting synthetics, but you can't have everything, no?

Good tips in this thread i must say, since i'm trying the game a 2nd time as an adept(first time as Sentinel) and i must say, i really can't take much compared in damage(even without the tech armor i had then) to Sentinel, anyway, i'm trying to figure out what to max out, got some points in anything, but maxed out warp, i took a bad turn in choosing Slam as my bonus power(Its fun!) so i'll go try some of the others suggested here, since my balance is off atm.

Btw, anyone know a good thread about heavy weapons? since i need some guidence in choosing the more complicated ones and how to use them, couse the ingame help is useless...
