Although special characters (#$%^& etc.) are valid when you create an online account, you cannot finish the login through Dragon's Age if any of these characters are used.  An error message will pop up after you click accept on the EULA. It took me a bit to figure out what was wrong.

Does bioware have a testing department?  This account creation process was really buggy.  You'd think someone would have tried this.  I hope the game isn't full of "oversights" too but I have low expectations.

This is a problem with EA's account system. I tried notifying EA about it when I first noticed it in EA's download manager, but, well, it's EA...
