Bioware could also be planning to use the dark ritual in a sequel. I know its been stated da2 isnt going to be a direct sequel but they could use the child an morrigan and various other companions that travel an the like. This is the largest dlc/expansion SO FAR. According to Fernando and his correction. *chuckles* Victor has stated hes seen plans for a year an we will be kept busy way past march. Its also know they are already working on DA2. Lots of things are still unstated and possible is all im saying.

Sincerely

Tresca

So if on average ..a person ..say like me who even after 12 run-throughs still takes about 80 hours to complete each one,  there's 160 hours where I accomplished nothing in the game, because its been invalidated by these new decisions.

Wait... what? A bit of an overexageration.

A. All your decisions transfer over and are still as valid as ever, even if you don't like how their transfered over...

B. They said their not just sweeping the romance of origins under the table, and they have it covered in some form.

C. Yes... all your cool DLC IS invalidated.... so that sux.

But besides C, your Origin playthrough and decisions still are in effect, you just don't like how they handled the ultimate sacrifice, that hardly invaladtes your playthrough just dampens the epicness of the end of your first playthrough.

Not really, my characters develop over the course of the game-play. I didn't start out knowing how my PC would develop. As it turns out, none did the ultimate sacrifice, and all for different reasons. It could have gone the other way, but during the long time playing, that's just not how my girls developed.

Not worried about the romances, not worried about the dlc items currently.   The romances are on hold for this expansion, at least from what a Dev stated.   The DLC items..well since we can't take them with us,  I guess I will sell everything, because the gold does transfer over.

My only concern currently..is again the dead warden plot hole thing.

There seem to be a lot of posts along the lines of "That's not important to me, so I don't see why people are complaining." That makes no sense to me.

Romances are not important to me. I didn't even bother with them on half my play-throughs. I can still see how no romances would be a big deal to others.

The US issue isn't a big deal to me. I only had one character with that ending, and I wasn't going to continue his story. However, I can see how that would bother others.

The DLC issue, which I've already posted about, is not a huge issue, but it does provoke the question "Why not?" The gear was used as a selling point for RtO. It became available after the expansion was announced, and long after many of us were basically done with the original. Is expecting to use that gear in the expansion really that unreasonable?

I would say that expecting to use the gear in the most recent DLC..which came out the end of January,  would still have some play value ..for awhile yet.   As to why its not included..from a play standpoint definitely doesn't make sense.

From a technical issues standpoint maybe it has some merit...but ..if thats the case they aren't telling us that.

Technical?

If its aneabled through DlC to work with origins...its now in your system, in your game code that you have it. In order for it not to work with awakenings they must have had to make the decision to DISable it, not ENable it.

But all of the other choices , what about them? Kill Loghain/ did not kill Loghain.

Me as king/no king just a queen/ Travel with Leilana? etc, etc? are they expanded on or it is just one version of events no matter what choices you did in origins?

They sold DAO on that every action has a meaning, every choice is unique? well is it or is a quick buck more important...?

true. Maybe if in the expansion it aknowledges how you feel or alistair or anora feels but that they have buisness to take care of for now or something like that so it doesnt just kill off the choice you made in doa and leaves room for it to pick up in future expansions or doa 2 but to take out romance options altogether was a bit o.t.t as for the dlc thing well i'm just annoyed coz i wont beable to use my starfang sword or my warden armour. As for the dead warden well i don't agree with bioware there but it's true you don't have to use that character.

For me, Dragon Age was an amazing and emotional bit of story telling, and I loved it to death.

I haven't replayed it, because any subsequent play throughs would just cheapen the experience (with psychic impulses and the like). I know Awakenings isn't really something I want to tarnish my Warden's story with (his ending was good, and Ihave my own thoughts as to what happens after.) So I am only waiting to see if the game would be worth buying for the Orlesian Grey Warden's story.
