So, who's your favorite companion?
I definitely have to say Dog, who I named Sammy, has to be my favorite companion so far.
He's not exactly the strongest in a fight, but he's just so adorable and handy! I mean he finds all sorts of interesting objects, he has great interactions with the other characters, and I love his "Lassie" conversations!
Although the others are pretty nice, except Zeveran, I put the old Ax to him.

Anyone else actually wishing the character party layout was 4 humans + the dog?
I hate putting the dog back in camp since he's not really a full blown character. Would be alot more fun to have 4 NPCs AND the dog

Dog and Alistair awesome characters... Morrigan too, esp her banter with both Dog and Alistair.
I'm not at all a fan of Sten tho... Wynne is alright (i have "good" Kreia flashbacks with Wynne) - but she's more useful than most of the NPCs with all her healing goodness.

*Spoilers*
I find Wynne to be boring. She's not a bad character she just doesn't have any spark to her like the others. I'm not that far in to the game yet though and there's hints of something more interesting with her. My main problem is I actually find myself agreeing with the majority of her opinions but that just makes her even more boring. Leliana and Wynne's convo's are cute, I'm almost seeing a mother/daughter style relationship developing there. I just wish she wasn't 100 percent neccesary as I didn't roll a healer myself.

Since I am still in the lower levels and haven't met all companions yet, my vote goes to "Hungry Hugo", my dog.
Alistair is very entertaining, too. Interesting characters so far. Wynne also reminded me of Kreia sometimes. We'll see.

Leliana and Alistair. Alistair because the guy is freaking hilarious and Leliana because she's a strong female who is not afraid to be a woman.

Alistair. Interesting background. Interesting personality. And absolutely adorable. He is too cute. For once, I've found a male lead that really captured my interest and intrigued me. Whereas, I've found past romances, um Carth, Kaidan and Sky, to be annoyingly stereotypical despite me still overall liking them.
"My bruises are all bruised!"
So cute everytime he says it. Yeah, cough, Alistair fangirl. >.>

Shale! He is so deliciously evil, I love him. I havn't really talked to the people I'm not using in my party though, figured I would save that for other play throughs.

Sten seems to the point. Which I like.
And Leliana's French accent <3

I really like Alistair. I was expecting a rather generic character, but hes really interesting. Morrigan is awesome too.

I love Shale (definitely this games Hk-47, well at least to me). Alistar is great also, oddly I also really like Wynne. I see her as the mentor/mother figure to my charater(I also feel really bad for her and what happened with her). The only characters I really can not stand are Leliana and Morrigan. Morrigan is just so childish and Leliana is just too, I don't know, annoying (especially her voice over the sound system I have, its painful to listen to almost). Here's to the next DLC companion being a female romanceable (dalish) elf, either warrior or rogue.

Me < I'm the best. Silent yet strong type. And my quips are dead on, it's almost like they were scripted!

Shale and Sten are awesome.
I hate Morrigan, everything I do pisses her off.

I love Morrigan and every gift I get goes straight to her. But I like Ali as well... good sense of humor and sarcastic.

Alistair. Adorable
The shyness and the stammering, and the voice, and all of him really. In a party I take Alistair, Sten, and Leliana. Leliana's lockpicking is good to have around, and she also never complains about good deeds, which is why I kicked out Morrigan almost right away.

I find I don't like Alistair. I am rolling with Shale as my tank, but, well, I am finding myself thinking Alistair is still the better tank.
The only way I see around the whole tank issue is to play the PC as a Tank, which, I don't like doing.
Right now, I am torn between Wynne and Shale though as my favorite companions. I find their advice to be absolutely essential in some of the big decision areas.
Shale especially comes through when I am struggling with my PC's decisions.

Alistair is such a beast. I love that guy, so funny.
I'd honestly call him my favorite "companion" RPG character of al time.
Some characters, like Morrigan or Sten, you'd love to explore their history. And Alistair would be the guy experiencing it right there with you. He's your "best bro" so to speak.
