Hmmmm.....Dog. Seeing him roll around on his back for the first time made me laugh, and cemented his place as my mage's fuzzy bodyguard. I also was surprised with Alistair; I thought that he was going to be the generic warrior, but he is so awesome that I have decided to make him into my main tank and save Shale, (who definitely HK-47's spiritual successor), for another playthrough

Morrigan, just as I suspected. Her disdain for religion is something I particularly attractive. Not to mention her refusal to bear the bonds of attachment and her all around blunt, tell it how it is attitude. A real free spirit with a dark mystery surrounding her.

Hard to say, i like my dog (Wags), and the banter between Morrigan and Alistair is funny at times.

Oh, Alistair, definitely. Leliana is a close second, though. I absolutely adore both of them, and they keep me entertained and happy. Also, they don't complain about my lightside-actions, which is a plus.

My vote goes to Woofers, the bestest widdle war doggie ever!
(I don't what it is about the dog that brings out that reaction either...)
Oh and I have the second the vote for Sandal(sp?) the dorf's adopted son. Enchantment!
Not so much Sten, though on another play though I'll give him a chance since I really liked his first comment about the Mage's Tower and the appearant unhealthy fascination the mages have for women holding bowls.
I like Morrigan's pragmatism, though it's too bad the dialog doesn't give you and extra option of "do the good-guy thing (but only because it will probably pay well in the end)".

I like them all, but I like the dialogue for Shale, Oghren and Zevran the most. Zevran's party banter and observations are hilarious, as are Shale's. Oghren's in-camp conversations with the PC and his hitting on Wynne - repeatedly! - is also priceless.
It's funny that I don't bring Oghren and Zevran into combat zones all that much; Zevran lacks Leliana's lockpicking skills and my PC is already a 2H warrior dwarf so Oghren is just duplicative. Shale, however, is an awesome addition to any party because of its ability to change its role.

Shale... Reminds me of a rock HK, who takes my second highest spot (Morte takes the top) across all rpgs. Alistair would be my second for DA:O.

I'm still laughing over one of Shale's banters last night:
Leliana: "I believe there's a good person inside of you."
Shale: "If there is, it's because I ate him."

Same here, Plus I'm a francophile so Leliana's accent makes her one of the few characters that I just sit back and 'listen' to instead of just reading it real fast. Plus she's religious but not in your face about it (so far).

Leliana, Alistair, & Morrigan. I'm sticking with the same party for this character b/c we're very well balanced next play through I'll change entire party & get to know others.

I like all of them really - except for Zevran perhaps.
Also, Alistair is pretty funny, but he disapproves of almost everything I do. He really does seem to hate it when I save people - thus making it very hard to convince him to teach me to be a templar.

It was Leliana until I heard her talk about shoes. On and on about shoes. Dear God. lol
Alistair is cool when he's being funny, but he cries too much, and Morrigan is cool but she's an epic evil hearted beezy. And the rest I'm just like "meh" towards, granted I haven't unlocked all of the companions yet.
So really I gotta give it up to my main man Meaty (aka my war dog.) He's the only one that doesn't sass talk to me! Hah.

Morrigan is by far my favorite, i to send all the gifts her way. her attitude is amazingly well done, shes got one Fracking big spark, and her character model is awesome. Alister is just way to funny, Mor and Ali are always in my group.
omg when the your dog buts the dead rabbit or w/e in her unmentionables i laughed so hard, high praise to Grogel! my dog

Definitely Shale. I'm not the only one here who thinks he's the new HK-47. His dialogue is great. Second favorite would be Morrigan, because she's awesome. Definitely superior to Liliana, although I'm sad her romance chain doesn't go on very long... or does it? I haven't gone too far in yet, so who knows?

I definitely have to say Dog, who I named Sammy, has to be my favorite companion so far.
As for the others, I like them all so far but haven't settled on any other favorites yet.

"""SPOLIER"""" somewhat
yeah it gets kinda sad i must say Fathnri, i havent beaten the game yet but i think ive gone as far as you can i was kinda sad about it lol. but i think something awful will happen at the end. ive thought of alsmost everything that could or probly already did happen...
POSSIBLY BIGGEST SPOLIER that i have thought off.
like why did Morrigans mother realy send her with you? perhaps a child?
