So I am wondering if I missed something. Because when most people on these forums speak authoritatively about Reaper facts, they seem to be basing them off of what EDI says when you find the Human Reaper. Now, was there a a top-secret Collector file you uploaded to her that I missed? Or did she just deduce all this from her vast stores of knowledge? The "reproduction" motive seems extremely stupid and disappointing to me, but watching the ending again, EDI just suggests that as one possible explanation and then states there could be other reasons why they made the human reaper.

common sense tells me she gained the information while data mining through the collector ships files, possibly while attempting to mine the base itself and what not. With her blocks turned off, she herself may have more power and ability to probe and hack into systems

Ok, just watched the vid, and EDI's words Verbatim: "They may be facilitating the Reaper equivalent of reproduction. Or it may serve another purpose. I do not have the data to speculate further."



Ok, that at least opens up the door for many possibilities. I wish people would stop stating that Reaper reproduction is THE explanation.
