What is YOUR favorite ending?

But I think the best ending in my opinion was my male human noble who sacrificed himself at the end. All though it was a very sad ending, I felt it was the only ending that brought at true emotion. Especially reading in the epilogue on how Leliana was going to take matters in her owns hands to "join" me.
A heartwrenching ending, but a very good ending. I also enjoyed the final battle and everything. Since I knew I would die as a Grey Warden, and not cheat my way out of it using Morrigans offer. It just felt right for me.
Anyways, what did you guys do? Did you take Morrigans offer? Sacrifice you or someone else?
Just curious to know what endings people favor.

I loved having Loghain in the party. You gain a bit of insight into what makes him tick, and some of the dialogue between him and Zevran was quite funny. Interesting dialogue with Sten as well. It was very easy to get Loghain to "friendly", and I had some good talks with him.
However, the epilogue was a nice surprise. Alastair and Anora got along beautifully (I did not even plan on getting the two of them together, the opportunity rose up in the midst of a heated argument about sparing loghain, so I took it!) - Ferelden loved the royal couple, and he seemed to settle in quite nicely. My PC got to stay with Zevran, so she was a happy camper. All my other companions had happy endings. (won't spoil it for you if you've only played through once)

I think this will always be my favorite ending because it felt so natural, and there was no metagaming involved (with one exception, I missed the chance to "harden" Al and it was lame that so much could depend on one little line of dialogue...I had to go back and fix that).
But that said, there *is* an expansion coming, and I don't like cast changes when the story is not yet over. Also, I later found out that Morrigan *would* crack eventually (not as much as I would have liked, but enough to make it worthwhile), if I had stuck with it a little longer. And although Morrigan was my first choice, I do really like Leliana and I hated seeing that happen to her.
So in my "optimal" ending (which I am playing through again right now to make sure everything turns out how I want:
* PC sticks with Morrigan through thick and thin
* PC agrees to the ritual...it still weirds him out a little bit, but it's one more day and night with his beloved at least
* Alistair and Anora rule jointly as before
* At the end my PC goes in search of Morrigan, and his good friend Zev joins him (I haven't decided if I want to see if Leliana will join him too. He would be glad of her company but it would probably be awkward.)
This lets me keep using my character, he definitely has his motivations for the expansion, and the kingdom is in good hands. And hopefully Leliana will find her happiness elsewhere.

Edit to add:
Of course, there is my second favorite character...this is the only game where I have had two characters that I really enjoyed and would consider being "canon". My HNF marries Alistair, takes up the ritual, and rules Ferelden with her beloved, at least until Awakening.

Male Human Noble
Hardened Alistair and Anora marry.
Spare Loghain.
Romance Morrigan and perform the dark ritual with her.
Basically it ends with Loghain rebuilding the grey wardens, Alistair and Anora ruling the country together, and my human noble running off to find Morrigan. I never make the happiest endings my personal canon ending.

Loghain gets to die a hero
HNF goes off with her betrothed Zevran to rebuild the Grey Wardens

Dalish Elf Female (rogue), Hardened Alistair NOT king, Anora rules alone, Kill Loghain (I just really like him in the role of "villian" and don't want to spare him). PC and Al run off into the sunset together (the epilog card even says Al is RELIEVED not to be in court) to rebuild the wardens. Did the ritual with Morrigan so both live.

I actually got that even when I made him king (with Anora) but was romancing him with my FCE who returned to the Wardens (expansion planning). Alistairs ruled for a while and then ran off with me to do Warden stuff, presumably leaving the throne to Anora...
My Personal canon ending is Alistair and Anora ruling, Loghain dead, Alistair does the ritual with Morri, my FCE bids her friend a fond farewell as she disappears into the night and returns to the Wardens, after staying in Denerim a while to annoy Anora with she and Alistair's antics. I also made Shianni bann of the Alienage.

That was the first time I ever did the "go be with the Wardens" ending. Usually I pick staying in Denerim to "help out" around the city with rebuilding and stuff. I must say the go be with the wardens thing was a much more satisfying answer to the Queen even more than telling her (or Alistair) you will stay and help out in Denerim.

My favorite "I really, really hate myself for liking this" ending was Alistair married to Anora/Loghain does the Dark Ritual/PC drags Leliana and Zevran to help her rebuild the Wardens with Loghain as recruiter. I think that scenario is so ripe for some serious awkwardness.
My favorite "This would never really fly, right?" ending was when my mage made unhardened Alistair king and then served as his Chancellor, basically running the country.
Finally, my favorite ending that I will always love despite my cynicism towards standard happy endings is the one in which my HN makes Anora queen and rebuilds the Wardens with Alistair (with Zev handling the unpleasant business when someone pulls a Jory).

I'm kinda torn whether or not to make my HNM warden king or to ride off in the sunset with Leliana.

But coming in a close second is my City Elf who sacrificed himself. It was my first time doing the sacrifice ending and I just wasn't prepared for how emotional it became.

I was just curious about that ending since you need a HNM for it, and my character fits that description.

I tend to do the 'stay in Denerim' option as well (I did find it funny how if you're with Alistair you basically carry on right under Anora's nose and she gets really annoyed [epilogue slide]). But the Warden ending was rather satisfying, particularly as Alistair abandoned the court. Its not as if you can stop being a Warden, after all.

So after the duel with Loghain in which I allowed Alistair to duel him to see what Loghain would say, which I found very cool.
"Ah, so you do have some of Maric in you, good."
"Forget Maric, this is for Duncan"
- Or something along those lines, then obliterates Loghain. So then, I had Alistair put on the throne by himself. He just seemed happier ruling alone. And I want him to choose his own queen, not be put with power hungry Anora.

Tie for Second: Female Elf Mage: Does Ritual, Becomes Teyrna (Eat dirt, Chantry! ) and Male Dalish, Refuses Ritual, banishes Morrigan, and Does the Ultimate Sacrifice. THe mouth on that Keeper is priceless.
Also like: City Elf Female Rogue with Ultimate Sacrifice.
Most Hated: Sacrificing Alistair.

I know Loghain has his haters but I love the guy so I always recruit him. I finally tried the Ultimate Sacrifice ending tonight with my female arcane warrior which gave me a bit of a lump in the throat, I'll admit. My Warden had been Alistair's lover but married him off to Anora for the good of Fereldan and then took the final blow herself. It did make me a bit sad to read the bit about Loghain going off to the Deep Roads on his own a few years later once the taint had got to him - I think it works out a lot better for him if you let him kill the Arch Demon and have his redemption.
I've not had an Alistair dies ending yet (I only killed Loghain in my first game and it made me feel so awful I didn't do it again) but my new HN character is going to attempt to marry Anora so we'll see how that goes.
