Ok, so Im sure others are having trouble with this but its hard to sift through all the posts about problems and such so I thought I would ask myself . I have:

OS:      Windows 7

CPU:    2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

RAM:   2 GB for Windows 7

VIDEO:          Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family 776MB

DirectX            Just downloaded newest version

SO I cant start ME2, Ive tried running as admin. Changing compatability options, and changing starting graphics to the lowest I can. Except for the video card not being supported I shoulod be able to run this game. I started by testing my comp on Can I Run It and it said outside of the video card that it passed, but that the video card was not supported, but even with that the video card passed all the specifications. Does anyone have any suggestions or fixes?

Sorry, but you aren't SUPPOSED to be able to run this game without a real video card from a real 3D video company. Intel doesn't count, and is specifically named as substandard in the official requirements. Given that it's a laptop, you can forget this game until you replace it wth something usable (the entire laptop). There's no upgrade path from an Intel chip on a laptop.

It's not like Intel ever produced a videochip that's suitable for gaming. Most of them are even lagging in simple games like Plants vs. Zombies.

Video Card = 256 MB (with Pixel Shader 3.0 support). Supported Chipsets: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 or greater; ATI Radeon X1600 Pro or greater. Please note that NVIDIA GeForce 7300, 8100, 8200, 8300, 8400, and 9300; ATI Radeon HD3200, and HD4350 are below minimum system requirements. Updates to your video and sound card drivers may be required. Intel and S3 video cards are not officially supported in Mass Effect 2.

That was FOUR MONTHS ago. THREE MONTHS BEFORE the game was released.
