I just loaded up my most recent game and now my party won't attack enemies, they just stand around and let themselves be massacred. Even if I give them attack orders, they do so once and go back to just standing there. I've also noticed they won't level up either. Two have the plus to say they can but nothing happens when I click it, same if I use the level up button on their character sheets.

I suspected it could be a corrupt save file, so I went back to the one before, same problem. Thinking maybe it was a problem with the area, I loaded up a much earlier save and again, same problem.

My guess is the toolset somehow messed up something. Installing that is the only thing I've changed with the game. Anyone else having this problem?

Me. I installed the toolset today. Then got all the DCL stuff and tried to play. I tought it was the DCL but maybe it's the toolset. Surely the patch didn't help.

In any case, I have been able to keep battling (easy mode) having all the group selected and clicking all the time in the enemy I want to kill. Better than nothing, I suppose.

Not sure about the leveling but have you checked the 'hold position' command? If that's on they won't do much of anything. I've accidentally left it on a number of times myself.

Mine have never been on hold position (checked if that was the case).

I checked that too, doesn't seem to be the problem (and I toggled it just to make sure).

I was having the same issues OP mentioned.  Can't believe I made it all the way through second encounter area with that turned on.  So much better once it's off!  Thought the AI was deficient this whole time when I was the stupid one...

I reinstalled, no patch or toolset, and it didn't fix this problem.

Yeah, its a little deceptive.  Cause when its turned off and you mouse over it actually says click to follow and when its turned on and you mouse over it says click to hold position.  So its actually backwards... Easy enough to see that they come running when you click it though.

having the same problems here, and have you tried creating a new character? I tried clicking 'new game', but it says 'Unable to load module'. I'm guessing it's because i installed the toolset, but i uninstalled it and the game, but it didn't do any good, maybe it has something to do with my settings, that and my saves are the only thing i kept when i uninstalled, will let you know if i fix it here, could anyone please help with this?

My game suddenly became "broken" and I want to ask a quick question to see if anyone can help me. In your Dragon Age directory, there is a "Modules" folder, whats in it?

I ask because I think the Toolset may be responsible for screwing up my game and I'm trying to figure out how to un-screw it.

Leleliana talks to me every time like it's the first time I met her, and the camp behaves like a normal zone with my party following me and I can't level up anymore.

In modules, I just have a directory called singleplayer, inside that a bunch of other directories, most of them are empty.

Just tried new game and having the same unable to load module error too.

It IS the toolset. I have fixed my game. I backed up my saves, uninstalled the game, manually deleted every folder that the game created, uninstalled all of that SQL stuff and all versions of C++ that I messed with after I started having trouble. I reinstalled the game and now it works perfectly. I was even able to use the custom toolset-created character face that I made when I had the toolset installed..

So, my recommendation is to get rid of all of that SQL stuff first, and if that fails then do the rest of what I did. I hope this is some help.

So installing the toolset must be the cause, since no one has had this problem without installing the toolset.

Grrrr.... going to uninstall and delete everything and I pray to The Maker that my saves and DLC still work.

Drastic measures already taken and the game is uninstalled. >_<

Anyway. Before I uninstalled it. I tried renaming that folder because it did seem suspicious, but even with that folder being renamed, I still had that problem in my game.

It's confirmed. My save game is ruined.

Completely re-installed the game after deleting every Dragon Age Folder and File and since I saved after installing the Toolset and because the Quest I was on made autosaves over all of my previous autosaves. My 20+ hour save game is ruined. Just because I installed the toolset.

Well...you get to play it through again, increasing the time you get to enjoy the game?
