Any news on why there is character dialogue where there shouldn't be?

Some of you may have seen the youtube video where a certain Quarian and a certain AI join a FemShep to recruit ArchAngel--  Video below

Anyone know how that is possible?  I mean, it's a hack, but the dialogue SHOULD NOT BE IN THERE, technically.

I don't know if there was a topic for this already or not, seeing how there's no search button (hint, hint).

The reason the dialogue is there is because obviously we were meant to be able to recruit any squad mate at any time earlier in the development. Something changed along the way shoving Legion all the way to the end of the game. I have no clue as to why they did it though.

I'm guessing they originally planned for Legion to join your squad earlier in the game, and when it changed, just never removed anything. Oh, and uh... the search button is up there. >_>

They probably made all the missions in general before they decided in the end that the main mission should force certain events certain ways. It's like how they have both VAs in ME for Shepard read all the lines, regardless if they would never say it based on gender. It's why the Liara/Kaidan confrontation has Shepard saying Ash is strong and would be okay if she chooses Liara.

There's a search box about 60 pixels above your post...

There's a bit of dialogue that didn't make it into the game. This happens often. Something gets changed later on in development, etc.

I think it was originally intended you could do any of the dossiers in any order, and be able to recruit them whenever you wanted, however, due to it being on 2 discs and some recruitment missions being on a different DVD, that would require switching back and forth, so perhaps that is the reason for the second set of dossiers being unlocked only after the first.

This seems like the most logical reason.

The behind the scenes DVD had Thane on Purgatory. I thought that was strange as well.

I would love to play the Alpha version or whatnot that had all these out of place character placements.

I should probably read threads before I start a post.  I pretty much wrote this same exact thing, but decided I should check to see if someone else mentioned it.  And you did.

You mean instead of the originally intended plan of allowing us to go for whoever we wanted whenever we wanted we got this mish-mashed system where certain characters aren't available until certain story missions, a system that doesn't even allow for all the recorded dialogue? ...Bah!
