I just played through P-Station and am wondering if anyone got Paragon or Renegade points there? There weren't many P dialog options and i was playing a do-gooder and didn't recieve any P points. I'm thinking there are no alignment points to be had here, but did anyone act like a douch and get R points?

Pinnacle station is a roleplaying free zone, dont sweat it if you dont get to have any important dialogue, and thus no points towards either alignment.
I will replay ME1 soon, and dont remember exactly at this time, but I think there isn't an awful lot to do there anyways, except shooting holograms.

Pinnacle Station seemed like training for the style of combat you see in ME2. It emphasized speed, using cover, defense... everything that they tried to improve upon with ME2.
That's really the only point I could find to doing Pinnacle Station.

I think I remember reading that Pinnacle Station actually helps you in achieving those "use ___ on enemy X number of times" or the kill X number of enemies using __ weapon. There wasn't anything paragon/renegade related that I could find either.

There are only really 2 real benefits to getting Pinnacle Station:
1. It's a handy place to work on your skill-based achievements, as DemonGunslinger mentioned above.
2. Shepard's Apartment is a nice way to get rid of your mountains of credits by gambling for X-level items. I obtained Spectre X weapons for my entire party, Savant X BioAmps and Omnitools and various other high-end mods and armors this way.
Ahern's mission is pretty fun though.

Yeah... well I didn't use cover or defense at all when I played. The only 'challenge' was that 2 of the hunt missions didn't spawn stuff as fast as I could kill it. I kept hittin 47 kills on that damn tropical hunt and the spawns would dry up.
And I'm not finding PS combate to be comparable to ME2 at all. Maybe it's how I'm playing it, but I generally make a very slow and methodical advance. Very slow! However, if I run into a spot where the spawns don't stop until you reach a certain waypoint in ME2, I'll probably find myself without any heat sinks.
